To enable heavy workpieces to be orientated into any desired position without re-clamping, more particularly for welding seams horizontally from above, as is most favorable, a clamping plate or table (3) is pivoted for unrestricted rotation about an axis (5) at the free end of a cantilever arm (2) supported from a stand (1) for rotation about a horizontal axis (13) by flange elements (14, 15) which are adjustable with respect to one another in two directions at right angles to balance a workpiece and the cantilever, table assembly with reference to the axis (13). Electric motor drives (7 and 12) controlled by limit switches may be used to selectively rotate the table and the cantilever arm to bring a workpiece into any desired orientation. A construction in which the cantilever (2) is replaced by a beam extending two end frames like the stand (1) is also described.
The disclosure relates to an apparatus for assembling a seat for use in an automobile. The seat assembling apparatus comprises a rotary table which is horizontally rotatable; a setting table which is mounted on the rotary table and is horizontally and vertically movable, and on which a seat slider is placed in position; a rotation locking mechanism for locking the rotary table at a predetermined rotational position thereof; a locking mechanism for locking the seat slider on the setting table; and a pivot locking mechanism for locking the setting table in an upper set position.
A tiltable-rotatable circular-table device for a machine tool includes a rotary-driving motor which is fixed to a tiltable table and is for rotating a circular table disposed above the tiltable table; a motor cover which is fixed to the main frame and is for housing the rotary-driving motor; and cables connected with the rotary-driving motor. The tiltable-rotatable circular-table device further includes a cable guide whose one end is fixed to the motor cover and the other end is fixed on a periphery of the rotary-driving motor. The cable guide is housed in the motor cover and is capable of surrounding at least a portion of the periphery of the rotary-driving motor so as to guide the cables in a direction in which the cables extend. The cable guide is bendable mainly in its thickness direction at multiple sections thereof such that the cable guide is capable of surrounding the rotary-driving motor.
A positioning device having a rotatable and tiltable work table for placing components to be worked on. The device has a frame and a support mounted on the frame having bearings for rotatably supporting a housing. Pivotable linkage arms extend between the frame and the support for positioning the support between upper and lower positions. The support has the work table associated therewith which is rotatable and tiltable relative to the support. The work table is also rotatably mounted relative to the housing. A hydraulic motor and a gear operatively associated therewith are associated with the housing wherein the motor communicates with a hydraulic fluid tank provided at a position spaced from the support. A double-acting piston and cylinder assembly is provided to effect tilting movement of the work table through the housing. The cylinder is pivotably connected to the support. The piston rod is pivotably connected to a V-shaped yoke having first and second legs and a link pivotably connected to a bracket rigidly mounted on the housing. The first leg of the V-shaped yoke is pivotable about a first pivot point which is stationary relative to the support, and the second leg of the V-shaped yoke is pivotably connected to the link.
Disclosed herein is a device for mounting a portion of a marine engine comprising: a clamp mechanism to clamp the portion; a frame to carry the clamp mechanism; the clamp mechanism being arranged to be moved from a floor location to a working location above the floor.
