5308034 - Clipboard

A clipboard adapted for multi-functional use is disclosed. The clipboard includes a pair of panel-like members which are releasably joined to one another to form an assembly. The panel-like members are separable one from another whereby a sheet of paper having information printed thereon may be inserted between the panel members to be interposed therebetween. One or both of the panel members is fabricated from a transparent material which permits the user to view the information on the sheet of paper through the panel member itself. A conventional clip assembly is mounted on one or both of the panels to releasably retain a sheet of paper atop one of the panels whereby the user may either read or write on the paper utilizing the underlying panel as a writing surface.

5251935 - Combination binder/book rest

A combination binder/book rest having front and rear covers (10, 12) pivotally connected along opposed edges of a spine (14). A support element (52) is pivotally connected to the front cover to support the front cover at a selected angle of inclination. A page retention mechanism (86, 88; 98, 100; 106, 108) rotatably connected to the spine bears against pages of a book (110) supported by the inclined front cover. An adjusting mechanism (56, 74, 76) is provided for adjusting the cover's angle of inclination. When not functioning as a book rest, the device may be configured in a storage position in which it functions as a conventional three-ring loose-leaf binder. The binder's contents (27) may be easily removed for reference while the device is functioning as a book rest. The book rest aspect of the device provides improved support by utilizing one of the binder's covers to support the open book. The page retention mechanism may be adjusted to accommodate books of many sizes.

4582344 - Music holder for music books, bound pages of music and the like having leaves which tend to close

A music holder adapted to be placed on a piano or music stand for use with a bound book of music or bound pages of music that tend to assume a closed position unless held open, the book or music stand on which the book or bound pages are to be placed includes a bottom ledge. The music holder includes a back, a ledge or grooved bottom shelf and a front flap, the rear edge of the bottom shelf being connected to the bottom edge of the back, the bottom shelf protruding forwardly from the back, the bottom edge of the front flap being hinged to the front edge of the bottom shelf. The holder is adapted to receive a bound book of music or bound pages of music which will rest on the bottom shelf and lean back against the back with the bound book or bound pages open at certain pages and a front flap leaning rearwardly against such open pages to hold the bound book or bound pages in that open position. The holder is used pursuant to a certain method.

4466601 - Holding fixture for drilling oblique holes

A holding fixture for drilling oblique holes, particularly in frames for table tops, counter tops, cabinets and the like, comprises a base support member for attachment to a drill press table, with a generally L-shaped, upstanding support table pivotally attached to the base support member. An extensible link is connected between the table and the base support member for selectively adjusting the support table to the required angle from the horizontal, to enable the drilling of oblique holes entering one surface of a panel and exiting at an edge thereof.

5690309 - Rehabilitation book holder

The book holder has a work surface with a shelf and straps so that a book and similar materials can be securely held on the work surface. The work surface has an adjustable leg and has a supportable surface which has an inflected curvature with positive curvature portions so that the work surface can be supported on the person using the book holder in positions ranging from the person's thigh to the person's upper body and so that, while supported in any of these positions, the work surface can be oriented about three orthogonal axes to suit the needs of the person and the work. The work surface has weighted ligaments which hold down pages of the book so that the pages can be turned with a mouth stick or commercial page turner.
