A shed is provided principally for the storage of a unitary automobile and includes a frame bolted to the ground or a cement slab, and an overlying housing substantially conforming to the external shape of the vehicle, the housing being hinged to the frame and spring-loaded such that access to the vehicle is provided by lifting the entire housing clear of the stored automobile.
An assist mechanism for assisting in the pivotal movement of an enclosure member between closed, intermediate, and open positions. A first biasing member has a swing arm pivotally connected to a strut and extends between a base plate and enclosure member, and a second biasing member has a link pivotally connected to a limited tension spring and also extends between the base plate and enclosure member, whereby each impart a substantially biasing force substantially on only one side of the intermediate position, with the first biasing member biasing the enclosure member away from the closed position, and a second biasing member biasing the enclosure member away from the open position.
A vehicle protective cover assembly having a base frame, an elongated vehicle shell-like cover and structure for pivoting the rear end of the vehicle shell-like cover upwardly about its front end and the base frame so that a vehicle can be driven under the cover.
A cover for a vehicle has a base at ground level and a rigid cover member having a downwardly facing mouth and movable between a lowered position and a raised position. A support is connected to and extend upwardly from the base and are arranged to support the cover member in its raised position. A resilient device is provided for urging the cover member to its raised position. In the lowered position, the mouth of the cover lies at ground level and defines with the base an enclosed storage area. In the raised position, both ends of the cover are raised above the base and access is permitted to the storage area.

The outdoor storage structure includes a base assembly including a base floor and anchor members being attached to sides of the base floor for anchoring the base floor to a ground; and also includes a cover member being hingedly attached along a back edge of the base floor and including top, side, front, and back walls; and further includes hinge members being attached to the base floor and to the cover member; and also includes handle members being attached to the cover member for the lifting thereof; and further includes a lock assembly for locking the cover member to the base assembly; and also includes a light-emitting member being disposed upon an underside of the cover member; and further includes an alarm member also being disposed upon the underside of the cover member.
