Adhesive silicone composition with good adherence to various substrates comprising a silicone mixture selected from the class consisting of a mixture of a polysiloxane having glycydoxy or epoxycyclohexyl groups in combination with an amine functional silane or siloxane. These compositions provide good water resistant shelf-adhering coatings to plastics, paper and rubber.
A fiber treatment composition comprising an aqueous dispersion containing; (A) 100 parts by weight of a finely particulate epoxy group-containing organosilasesquioxane substantially represented by general unit formula (I): wherein said organic group having an epoxy group comprises from 0.1 to 50 mol % of the whole R.sup.1 ; and; (B) from 10 to 900 parts by weight of an amino group-containing organopolysiloxane represented by general unit formula (II): ##EQU1## wherein R.sup.2 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group or a hydroxyl group; Z is a particular amino group; and 1<a<3, 0<b<1 and 1<a+b<3. This composition is useful for deepening colors of dyed textiles and fabrics and improving softness and feeling, even with respect to synthetic fibers.
Cured elastomers prepared by the reaction of a hydroxyl-terminated polyorganosiloxane with curing agents containing silicon-bonded aminoxy and/or amido groups can be painted when a dialkoxysilane of the formula X'R.sup.1 SiR.sup.2 (OR.sup.3).sub.2 is present in the curable composition. In the foregoing formula R.sup.1 is alkylene, haloalkylene or oxyalkylene, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are individually hydrocarbon, alkoxy-hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon radicals and X' is glycidoxy, mercapto, acryloxy, methacryloxy, NH.sub.2, --N(C.sub.2 H.sub.5).sub.2 or --N(H)CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2.
A liquid silicone rubber composition comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane containing epoxy groups, (B) an organopolysiloxane containing amino groups and (C) a curing catalyst for epoxy compounds is proposed in which the compounding ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is in the range of from 0.2 to 5.0 relative to the epoxy/amino molar ratio and which further contains optionally an organic solvent such as xylene and a silica flour. The composition is cured rapidly without the problem of catalyst poisoning even at room temperatures to be converted into a cured article with low volume resistivity and excellent antistatic performance as well as surface releasability. The composition is useful as casting materials, electric insulating materials, paint vehicles, coating materials, molding compositions and the like.
A one component room temperature curable sealant composition comprising: (A) a polyether polymer having at its terminal a hydrolyzable silicone functional group represented by the general formula: ##STR1## (B) a partial addition condensation product of: (a) an aminoalkylalkoxysilane represented by the general formula: ##STR2## with (b) an epoxy compound containing at least one epoxy group in its molecule and having a molecular weight of from 100 to 1000 and an epoxy equivalent of from 100 to 500, (c) a compound represented by the general formula: ##STR3## (d) an alkoxy silane represented by the general formula: ##STR4## (e) an organic titanic acid ester; and (C) a condensation catalyst of a silanol compound.
