Polyvinyl chloride resin compositions are provided, suitable for use as electrical insulation material, having a high volume resistivity and a high resistance to deterioration when heated at temperatures above 100.degree. C., comprising as the essential ingredients a polyvinyl chloride resin and, in the amounts indicated, in parts per one hundred of resin, from about 30 to about 100 parts mono or poly carboxylic acid ester plasticizer; from about 5 to about 25 parts filler; from about 1 to about 20 parts epoxy compound, and from about 1 to about 20 parts lead alkyl phenolate.
