A cover of adjustable size for a bottle and a package comprising a bottle received by such a cover. The bottle cover is fabricated from absorbent cloth material and has patches of hook and loop fastening material attached to the outer surface thereof. The cover is in the form of a pouch having a cavity which is larger than the bottle to be received. Afer insertion of a bottle into the cavity, a flap of excess pouch material is folded around the bottle and secured in place by means of the hook and loop patches.

An article and method for shaping a sheet of material around an object such as a flower pot, the article comprising a ring-shaped collar adapted to be secured around the object. The collar may comprise pinch rings or barbed piercing elements, disposed about the periphery of the collar for attaching the sheet of material to the collar, or the collar may be adapted to be secured around at least a portion of the object so that the sheet of material is held between the object and the collar. The article also may be used alone for shaping a sheet of material.

According to a preferred embodiment, FLEX GRIP.RTM. apparatus, system and method functions with articles including any and all beverage containers to mitigate and/or preclude undesired transmission of liquids by selectively absorbing the same in an open celled medium bordered by a waterproofed layer. In a particularly preferred embodiment dimensional sizing is featured to fixingly and matingly engage, and completely cover a bottom-portion and selected side portions of, for example, a pint glass. Likewise, environmentally-friendly aspects include use of recyclables, saving on wasted paper, and use for example, of old wetsuit material to make an industrially and economically efficient means for preventing drippage, condensate leakage, and packing issues involving impact breakage of glassware.

The glassware scarf is a flexible, absorbent device used to soak up excessive condensation from glassware. The scarf is wrapped about a stem of a glass, such as a wineglass, sherbet glass, etc., and absorbs condensation that drips down from the bowl of the glass. The glassware scarf has a rectangular central body portion and first and second ends tapering from opposite ends of the rectangular central body portion. A slit is defined in the rectangular body portion adjacent to the first end. The glassware scarf is wrapped about the stem of the glass, and the second end is drawn through the slit and pulled so that the glassware scarf is secured about the stem.
