Abstract
A projector comprises a substantially horizontal table, a substantially centrally above the table arranged projection optics (2), a light source (3) which is located above the table and arranged to illuminate the table, a deflexion mirror (4) for substantially horizontal deflexion of a light radiating vertically upwardly from the table, and a light shaft (5) which at least partially screens off the area between the optics (2) and the table (1) from the surroundings and is characterized in that a covering (6a) is arranged to be laid out over the table surface in that the upwardly facing surface of the laid out covering is light-reflecting, while the table surface is light-absorbing preferably black and mat, alternatively that the upwardly facing surface of the laid out covering is light-absorbing while the table surface is arranged to emit light vertically upwardly.

5695267 - Photo viewing assembly

A photo viewing assembly including a housing with a base member, and a photo support extending upwardly from the base member and structured to retain a developed photograph in a viewing orientation. Moreover, a magnifying lens is secured to said housing and disposed a spaced apart distance from the photo support so as to provide a magnified image of the complete developed photograph disposed on the photo support. At least one light source is disposed in forward, confronting relation to the photo support and the developed photograph disposed thereon so as to illuminate a front face of the developed photograph and substantially enhance the magnified image. The housing further includes a pair of spaced apart flange elements structured to shield the light source from the magnifying lens and substantially direct the illumination provided thereby at the photo support.

4561740 - Dual-magnification rear projection lectern - Owned by Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company (St. Paul, MN)

A dual-magnification rear screen projector having a fixed projection lens and two auxiliary lenses which may be positioned before and after the projection lens in the light path to change the magnification of the system. The system is parfocal in that none of the lenses need be repositioned axially along the light path to focus the system at either magnification.

4644934 - Solar energy heating system

A solar energy system for heating water. The system comprises a solar collector, a heat exchanger, and hot water storage tank along with necessary interconnecting conduits, circulating pump and controls. The system is characterized by a double-walled fluid heating conduit within the solar collector and by a triple-walled heat exchanger housing enclosing three concentric liquid passageways. Liquid heated by the solar collector is circulated through the outermost and innermost heat exchanger passages while water to be heated is circulated in countercurrent flow through an intermediate passageway sandwiched between the other passageways.

5033842 - Episcopic projector

An apparatus and method for projecting optical images from opaque or transparent objects onto a remote viewing screen includes a plane mirror combination and a reflective projection means. The plane mirror combination comprises an image inverting plane mirror and an image reversing plane mirror. The image inverting plane mirror is positioned angularly over the illuminated object and converts the upright and nonreversed object image into an inverted and reversed image. Disposed close by the image inverting plane mirror is the reflective projection means which comprises a parabolic concave mirror the parabolic concave mirror captures the inverted and reversed image and projects it onto the image reversing plane mirror near by as an enlarged, upright and reversed image. In return, the image reversing plane mirror reflects the enlarged, upright and reversed image onto the remote viewing screen as an enlarged, upright and nonreversed real image. The apparatus and method is convenient to operate and with the objects to be projected accessible to the operator but without the irritation of stray light glares affecting the operator's eyesight. The apparatus and method is also capable of projecting high quality images without resorting to the inclusion of complicated optics.
