A fishing rod holder is capable of being placed in the sand or attached to a suitable bracket which is accommodated on the bumper of a vehicle. The holder comprises a longitudinal tubular member having a reel accommodating slot, which member is secured to a spiked member containing an anchor plate. The holder operates in a dual mode and can be either emplaced in the sand or ground or emplaced within the above described bracket.
A fishing rod holder including a connector plate that connects directly to the bumper of a vehicle. Secured to the connector plate is a coupler for receiving and connecting to an elongated arm. The elongated arm in turn includes a series of sleeve holders and the sleeve holders are designed to accept and support a series of fishing rod sleeves. The elongated arm includes a connector arm that extends into the coupler and the coupler effectively attaches the connector plate to the connector arm.
A lawn chair fish fighter 10 for use with a typical aluminum framed folding lawn chair 1 has an elongated hollow member 11 having a half cylindrical segment 15 attached at its fore end which further has a longitudinally disposed reel notch 16 therein. Attached to the aft end of elongated hollow member 11 is butt plate support member 14 which extends radially outward therefrom and has butt plate 13 attached thereto. A chair hook 12 is attached to elongated hollow member 11 slightly aft of center of gravity C. Lawn chair fish fighter 10 holds a fishing rod and reel 2 in a slightly inclined fishing position and further can be pivoted upwardly for the purpose of fighting a fish.
A fishing rod anchor made of a single section of pipe for holding an unattended fishing pole at an angle relative to the ground. The pipe is hollow with one end cut so as to form a tapered point that can be inserted into the ground. The opposite end of the pipe is open to receive the handle of the rod and may optionally be provided with one or more cut out portions for allowing the user to set the hook without removing the rod from the anchor or to allow the anchor to accommodate rods with casting type reels.
