A sports shoe or boot having an upper and a shaft or leg plate is provided with a tightening system comprising a tightening member and a pull cord. The pull cord is arranged in turns over the openable closing flaps of the upper and is protected by a covering tongue. A turn of the pull cord is guided out of the area of the covering tongue by means of a slot in the latter and is held on the shaft by means of a tubular guide piece with a cover strap. Placing the turn on the upper part of the covering tongue ensures that no additional fastening means are required for the tongue. The boot can be completely tightened with a single tightening member.
The device comprises a ratchet lever associated with the rear portion of the rear quarter, and coupled to a rack plate. The rack plate is longitudinally slideable on the quarter and engages with the mid-portion of a cable, connected at least one of its ends to the front quarter.
A closure mechanism for overlapping closure flaps of an athletic boot comprises at least one cable arranged to overlap the flaps and travel interiorly of the boot to a position remote from the overlapping flaps. The cable then exits the interior of the boot and is connected to a latch for pulling the end of the cable to draw it about and close the overlapping flaps.
A fastening and locking device structure, particularly for ski boots, comprises a hollow frusto-conical element enclosing the ski boot shell at a middle region thereof. The frusto-conical element extends at a top region into a tongue and laterally to the ski boot into two wings encircling the ski boot middle region and joining together in a groove provided between the sole and the heel region of the ski boot. The frusto-conical element is further fixedly connected with two lugs extending towards the boot heel, whereat they present a tension lever device for fastening them together and tightening the boot flaps.
The closure device comprises a lever having a recessed area, being articulated on the rear portion of a ski boot rear quarter and oscillable about a substantially perpendicular axis with respect to the longitudinal extension of the rear quarter and the shell. To said lever there being slidably connected a block, releasably securable on preset points of said lever and being associated with at least one cable having a fixed point on the boot's front quarter, and at least partially accommodated in the recessed area.
This ski boot fastener comprises a stretching lever having pivotally mounted therein at least two nipples each fulcrumed on a crosspin, and boot closing cables having each one end passing through the corresponding nipple and anchored to a cable head or socket movable along the cable and reacting against the corresponding nipple. The head or socket consists of an internally screw-threaded tube engaged by an externally screw-threaded core soldered to the cable end. The adjustment is obtained by rotating the socket.
