Abstract
A fill valve, or aspirator, which is adapted to be connected to a superatmospheric pressure source, such as helium, and which is capable of intermixing at least two fluids in intimate fashion, wherein in one embodiment, actuation of a slide-like member allows introduction of a second fluid, for example, ambient atmosphere, so that ambient atmosphere is drawn into the fill valve by reason of a venturi effect due to the interior configuration of the fill valve so that an air and helium mixture may be obtained. The fill valve ideally, in the most efficacious embodiment may be utilized for filling inflatable members with a combination of air and helium so as to decrease the cost of the fluid for inflating the inflatable article. However, in other embodiments the fill valve may be used for other desirable end functions wherein it is desired to intimately intermix at least two fluids wherein one of the fluids is at a higher pressure than the other and due to the venturi construction of the interior of the fill valve, introduction of the second fluid is readily obtained for intimate intermixing with the higher pressure gas or fluid.

4512934 - Air bubble hydromassaging apparatus - Owned by Metronic Electronic GmbH (DE)

An air bubble hydromassaging apparatus having a blower housed in a control unit, a bubble grid adapted to be placed in a bathtub, and air tubing enclosing a check valve to connect the control unit to the bubble grid. The control unit is provided with a bushing type compressed air outlet and the bubble grid is provided with a bushing type compressed air inlet. The air hose has a connector fitting on each end by which it is detachably and airtightly connected to the compressed air outlet of the control unit at one end and to the compressed air inlet of the bubble grid at the other end. A check valve built into the connector fitting serves to obstruct passage through the connector fitting when the blower is inoperative and opens to permit passage through the connector fitting when the blower is operative. Due to the particular construction of the air hose connector fittings and their specially defined association with the compressed air outlet of the control unit and the compressed air inlet of the bubble grid, and further in view of the reflux preventing check valve which is built into one of the air hose fittings, an absolutely safe operation of the device is achieved. The air bubble hydromassaging apparatus is functional only when the proper ends of the air hose are respectively connected to the control unit and the bubble grid, whereby the direction of passage of the check valve is automatically established.

4708829 - Apparatus for the removal of impurities from fiber suspensions - Owned by Sunds Defibrator Aktiebolag (SE)

Apparatus for the mixing of gas bubbles into fiber suspensions in order to remove impurities from the fiber suspension by means of flotation is disclosed, including an inlet, an outlet including diverging upper and lower walls, an intermediate mixing section including upper and lower wall surfaces and a wing suspended between them in order to create upper and lower passages in the intermediate mixing section, the wing including an initial diverging portion, a central portion and a subsequent converging portion so that the central portion has a maximum thickness corresponding to the minimum transverse dimension for the upper and lower passages, the converging portion of the wing corresponding with the diverging upper and lower wall portions of the outlet so that the upper and lower passages diverge substantially symmetrically in the direction of flow, and an aperture for injecting a gas such as air at a location corresponding to the central portion of the wing.

4601409 - Liquid chemical dispensing system - Owned by Tritec Industries, Inc. (Mountain View, CA)

A system for dispensing liquid chemicals, such as photoresist, from containers which includes a valve to govern the flow from the containers, a reservoir to intermediately hold the chemicals prior to pumping, and a level detector to monitor the liquid in the reservoir and to control the valve, and an aspirator to remove air from the reservoir. The aspirator is activated in response to signals from the level detector indicating that the reservoir level is low. The increased suction causes liquid to be drawn from the container into the reservoir. If after a period of time the level detector indicates the reservoir level is still low, the valve will cause liquid to be drawn from a different container. The aspirator is deactivated a period of time after the level detector indicates that the reservoir level is normal.

7320347 - Inflation and deflation apparatus - Owned by Sunrise Arkansas, Inc. (Benton, AR)

A tool allowing both the inflation and deflation of air-filled bags such as dunnage bags is disclosed. The tool comprises a sliding control to easily and safely turn the flow of air on and off. The tool is switched from inflation to deflation mode by moving the bag connecting valve from one end of the device to the other.

7073545 - Inflation and deflation apparatus

A tool allowing both the inflation and deflation of air-filled bags such as dunnage bags is disclosed. The tool comprises rotatable controls to easily and safely manipulate both the flow of air into the device and the mode of operation between inflation and deflation. A venturi tube is used to draw air rapidly from a bag when the tool is deployed in deflation mode, while a radial vent system dissipates the force of the air exiting the device during deflation.
