Abstract
An improved insulated tray having both of its top and bottom surfaces configured so that either may receive food articles. In addition, the configuration is such that the trays may be stacked one upon the other in a wide variety of configurations. When so stacked, the depressions in the upper tray serve to provide a closure for the depressions in the lower tray.

4600103 - Symmetrical bakery basket - Owned by Buckhorn Material Handling Group, Inc. (Milford, OH) Ekco Products, Inc. (Wheeling, IL)

There is disclosed a one piece synthetic resin molded bakery tray, without moving parts and without any additional parts, that can be stackable at a plurality of levels, and preferably nestable due to top to bottom functional symmetry. Substantial or even identical symmetry may be provided. Such symmetry may also be with respect to rotation of the tray about a central vertical axis. Interlocking portions are provided symmetrically on the top and bottom edges of high side walls, and a bakery product support partition is provided at a midplane of the walls. Stacking ledges may be provided at an intermediate height from the partition on each high wall for cooperating with the interlocking portions to provide an intermediate stacking position. Complementary interlocking portions may be provided on each surface of the partition adjacent each high side wall for cooperation with interlocking portions of the high side walls to obtain a low stacking position. Identical trays may be rotated 90.degree. and nested to place their partitions parallel to each other and more closely spaced than any of the high, intermediate and low stacking positions.

5649626 - Flat wire harness protector and installation method thereof - Owned by Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd. (Yokkaichi,JP)

A protector for carrying a flat wire harness with a flat wire part and connectors, includes a bottom porion and a rim porion around the bottom portion. The bottom member is provided for positioning and holding the flat wire harness such that the flat wire apart is stretched and the connectors are fit in recesses formed in the bottom portion. The rim portion extends upward and radially outward from the bottom portion for enabling plural protectors to be stacked vertically with a flat wire harness stored in each bottom portion.

4813544 - Stackable pie tray - Owned by Pinckney Molded Plastics, Inc. (Howell, MI)

A stackable tray for holding a plurality of pie pans includes four like interconnected side walls and a horizontal platform joined to the side walls approximately midway of the height of the sidewalls. The platform is provided with circular openings each dimensioned to suspend a pie pan within the opening by the engagement of the peripheral flange at the top of the pan with the platform around the periphery of the opening. Centrally located hand hold openings are formed in each side wall and upper and lower stiffening webs extend across the upper and lower surfaces of the platform between the openings.

4619363 - Multiple tray-shaped packing and storage unit - Owned by Gregor Hofbauer GmbH (Planegg,DE)

Described is a tray-shaped packing container, particularly for containing components of a combination tool system or the like. The packing container may at the same time be used as a storage container, and may be combined with further containers of similar construction to form a packing and storage unit. To this purpose, the sidewalls and bottom of the packing container are formed of a shape-retaining material, the outer surfaces of at least two opposite sidewalls being provided with locking means for engagement with connecting elements employed for interconnecting stacked packing containers of the same type. Adjacent the sidewalls the bottom of the container is formed with a circumferentially extending recess dimensioned to receive the free upper edges of the sidewalls of a subjacent container. The packing container is finally provided with a transparent cover, so that no further packing materials are required. In a preferred embodiment the connecting elements are formed with engagement lugs and disposed in a recess of the respective sidewall, so that they do not project from the outer surface of the sidewalls. Also provided is a cover lid having similar engagement lugs and a similar circumferentially extending recess, so that it can be combined with any of the packing containers.

5094355 - Hinged-lid food container with sealable compartments employing front and side latching means - Owned by Mobil Oil Corporation (Fairfax, VA)

A hinged-lid food container having sealable compartments for the discrete storage and dispensing of a plurality of various comestibles, in which a cover member is adapted to sealingly isolate each compartment in the closed condition of the container. The container comprises a tray member having a plurality of compartments separated by upstanding wall portions, a bottom wall structure and a peripheral sidewall forming an encompassing tray rim; a cover member hingedly joined to the tray member along a portion of the tray rim, the cover member having a peripheral depending wall structure engageable with the tray rim to form a closed container arrangement; and depending rib means formed in the cover member engageable with the surfaces of the upstanding wall portions of the tray compartments for sealing the compartments in the closed condition of the container; wherein the cover member and the tray member each include peripheral flange portions, at least one latching means being formed in the peripheral flange portion of the tray member for receiving the corresponding flange portion of the cover member in the closed condition of the container so as to provide a sealed container structure.
