Abstract
A one piece resilient and compressible pad having a generally oblong shape has a flat bottom surface with a rounded rear end, generally parallel longitudinal sides, a substantially straight forward end and rounded corners connecting the forward end to the longitudinal sides. The top surface of the pad is contoured with the forward end of the pad having a flat portion of maximum thickness and its heel end having a flat portion of lesser thickness. A sloping portion is provided between the two flat portions. The dimensions of the pad are selected so that when placed in a shoe with the heel end closely approaching the inside rear of the shoe, the flat portion of maximum thickness will underlie and protect the metatarsal and longitudinal arches.

5212894 - Golf shoe insoles for improving the golf swing

This invention relates to a device that is inserted into a golfer's shoes as a front and rear insole in order to have each foot respond properly, yet differently during the golf swing to achieve the optimum golf swing. The front foot (relative to the ball direction) includes an insole insert having a centerline thickness longitudinally to encourage a rolling action of the front foot during the swing, while the rear foot includes a wedge-shaped insole to properly position the back foot during the swing.

An insole for a shoe, which massages the reflex zones of the sole of the foot, has a flat basic sole (1) which matches the contour of the shoe and cushion-shaped elevations (5) associated with the reflex zones to be massaged. The elevations (5) are integrally formed on the basic sole (1) and consist, like the basic sole (1), of elastic foamed material having a Shore A hardness of 30.degree. to 45.degree.. The height of the summit region (7) of an elevation (5) above the upper surface of the basic sole (1) is one to two times the mean thickness of the region of the basic sole (1) adjacent to that elevation (5). This insole is easy to manufacture and has optimal massage properties.

5784811 - Shoe insole - Owned by Mauch; Walter (Dusseldorf,DE)

A shoe insole has a flat base-sole corresponding to a shoe contour. The shoe insole is made of a single piece of foam with a Shore hardness A of 30 to 45, and includes a plurality of integral cushion-elevations formed thereupon. Each of the cushion elevations includes an elevation section which gradually increases in thickness from a surface of the base-sole to a peak region which forms a thickest portion of each cushion-elevation. Each peak region includes a flat plateau area which forms a rest surface upon which a foot sole can rest. The peak regions project upward from the base-sole by a thickness which is up to twice the mean thickness of an area of the base-sole adjoining the elevation portions.

5388351 - Cuboid-navicula navicular support

An arch support is provided for treatment of problems arising from the displacement of the cuboid-navicular arch, the support comprising a base portion having a rear edge and a front edge, a top portion raised above the base, a first surface sloping upwardly and forwardly from the base rear edge to the top portion, and a second surface sloping downwardly and forwardly from the top portion to the base front edge, wherein the maximum depth of the arch support is in the region of the top portion adjacent the first surface for engaging the cuboid-navicular arch of the foot.

5437111 - Elevating shoe provided with a deceptive inner member - Owned by Yuugen Kaisha Frontier (Osaka,JP)

An elevating shoe includes a shoe body having an upper, a sole, a heel, an inner member provided in the shoe body for raising the height of the wearer. The inner member includes an elevating portion formed with a top portion defined by a minimum area necessary to support the heel bone of the wearer, a forward slope portion, and a rearward slope portion, the forward and rearward slope portions being positioned between a peripheral edge of the elevating portion and the top portion, and extending from the peripheral edge of the elevating portion to the top portion with a substantially continuous gradient which rises toward the top portion, and being connected to the top portion with an identical color to one another. The third person is hard to perceive the provision of the deceptive inner member.
