Abstract
There is provided a method for retaining the shape of gloves e.g. leather golf gloves with one or more curved fingers by placing a glove on an electrically heated form having a shape corresponding to the curved gloves, with a sheet of paper between said form and the interior of the glove, for a sufficient time to retain the shape of the glove, especially the curvature of the fingers thereof.

Disclosed herein is a glove shaping device for heating and shaping the wrinkled and sewn portions of a glove. The glove shaping device includes a plurality of heating plates to be inserted into the finger portions of the glove. A body portion is provided in its interior with an electric heater and joint depressions in its top portion. A cover is attached to the heating plates and the body portion. Each of the heating plates is formed to have a rhomboid sectional shape, a predetermined thickness, two parallel side surfaces each inclined at a predetermined angle, and a joint prominence corresponding to a joint depression in a body portion.

An insert to provide stiffness to a baseball glove. Conventional baseball gloves have cavities for receiving the digits and palm of a hand. The insert includes a central expanse, a first elongate extension extending outwardly from the central expanse, and a second elongate extension extending oppositely from the first elongate extension outwardly from the central expanse. Preferably, a central elongate extension extends intermediate the first elongate extension and the second elongate extension. The first elongate extension is fittable within a digit-receiving cavity of the glove, such as that intended to receive a thumb, the central elongate extension is fittable within another cavity of a glove, such as that intended to receive the middle finger of a hand, and the opposing elongate extension is fittable within a cavity of the glove corresponding to the pinkie of a hand.
