Abstract
New catalysts, useful for performing hydrocarbons conversions such as reforming, production of aromatics, isomerization of paraffinic and aromatic hydrocarbons, hydrocracking, hydrodealkylation and steam-dealkylation, are formed of a carrier such as alumina and active elements comprising a noble metal of the platinum family, titanium, at least one metal selected from manganese, technetium and rhenium, and halogen, said catalysts being advantageously used as a moving bed.

A process for reforming gasoline boiling range naphthas which process comprises use of catalysts comprised of Pt and Sn on alumina and a modifier comprised of at least about 100 wppm Si and at least 10 wppm of one or more alkaline earth metals selected from Ca, Mg, Ba, and Sr wherein the total amount of modifier does not exceed about 5000 wppm.

4966682 - Reforming with modified alumina catalysts - Owned by Exxon Research & Engineering Company (Florham Park, NJ)

A process for reforming naphtha and straight run gasoline feeds by contacting the feed, and hydrogen, with a supported platinum catalyst on an alumina support modified with at least about 100 wppm Si and at least 10 wppm of one or more alkaline-earth metal selected from Ca, Mg, Ba, and Sr, wherein the total amount of modifier does not exceed about 5000 wppm.

4968408 - Reforming using platinum agglomerated iridium catalysts - Owned by Exxon Research & Engineering Company (Florham Park, NJ)

A method for reforming naphtha feeds which comprises contacting said feed, in the presence of hydrogen and at reforming conditions, with a catalyst comprised of platinum and iridium agglomerated to exhibit a crystallinity of at least 50% as measured by X-ray, and an alumina support material modified with at least about 100 wppm of Si and at least 10 wppm and one or more alkaline earth metals selected from Ca, Mg, Ba, and Sr, wherein the total amount of modifier does not exceed about 5000 wppm.

5227357 - Method for preparing a catalyst for reforming naphtha - Owned by China Petro-Chemical Corporation (Beijing,CN)

A naphtha-reforming catalyst is prepared by using aluminum hydroxide as a feed stock, which is acidificated in steam at high temperature, then shaped and calcined to form .gamma.-Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 support which is supported with metals of Pt, Re and Ti and halogens. The Pt content is 0.075-0.8 Wt %, Re/Pt ratio is 0.1-3.0 (Wt.). Since the .gamma.-Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 support having high purity, high crystallinity and concentrated middle pores has been adopted, the activity, selectivity and stability of the catalyst are increased considerably while the Pt content decreased.

5591689 - Preparation of isomerization catalyst composition - Owned by Phillips Petroleum Company (Bartlesville, OK)

A Group VIII metal and chloride-containing composition (effective as an alkane/cycloalkane isomerization catalyst) is prepared by a method which comprises mixing aluminum trichloride with a solid material containing at least one Group VIII metal (Pt and/or Pd and/or Ni) and alumina, heating the obtained mixture in an inert gas at about 450.degree.-750.degree. C., and then treating the mixture with a hydrogen chloride-containing gas at about 300.degree.-700.degree. C.
