5072829 - Carrier stock with integral handles - Owned by Illinois Tool Works Inc. (Glenview, IL)

Carrier stock formed from a single sheet of resilient polymeric material, such as low density polyethylene, and severable into individual carriers with integral handles along lateral edges. Integrally joined band segments define container-receiving apertures. Perforate lines, along which such stock is severable, divide certain cross segments into half segments. Each half segment has an aperture-defining edge configured with a nub countering tendencies of such half segment to neck down or to break.

5038928 - Carrier stock with integral handles - Owned by Illinois Tool Works Inc. (Glenview, IL)

Carrier stock formed from a single sheet of resilient polymeric material, such as low density polyethylene, and severable into individual carriers with integral handles. For each carrier, integrally joined band segments define container-receiving apertures. Moreover, an integral handle is joined at its ends respectively to middle portions of two outer segments, which are joined to one cross segment at a node. Stresses are distributed from each end of the handle, through the outer segment having such end joined to a middle portion thereof, to two cross segments. Perforated lines divide alternate cross segments into half segments and facilitate severance of such stock to form the individual carriers. Each half segment has an aperture-defining edge configured to provide means, which may comprise a nub, for countering tendencies of such half segment to neck down or to break. The handle has a middle leg, which is joined to the node via a frangible joint, as defined by a perforated line extending across the middle leg. The frangible joint is designed to break away when stressed.

4651873 - Can caddy device, and methods of constructing and utilizing same

A beverage container holder having a unitary body, apertures therein adapted to receive said containers, and a handle for easy hand carrying.

5474173 - Promotional card insert display system - Owned by Wisconsin Label Corporation (Algoma, WI)

A promotional card insert is used in combination with beverage bottle holders and beverage bottles to create a promotional card insert display system. The bottle holder preferably holds two rows of bottles about their mid-sections so that the bottles of one row are in contact with the bottles of the other row. The holder can have an integral handle on its periphery. The insert has text and/or graphics printed on its surfaces, is placed between the bottles from above, and is held in place by the compressive force of the bottles. By virtue of its placement in the pack and the location of the holder, the card is visible between the necks of the bottles, whether in individual packs or stacks of packs. The insert can be a single-panel card or can be made using multiple folded panels. The insert can also include promotional gifts or prizes, such as bumper stickers, static-cling display devices, and posters, either placed inside the insert or formed as part of the card.

4985980 - Net forming method

A method of forming a net is set forth including the steps of providing a beverage container defined by plural pairs of aligned perimeter encompassing circumferential bands to secure beverage containers therewithin. The container includes a series of diametrically aligned straps and buckles for securement of the packages together to form a net, whereafter unutilized straps and bands are severed from the associated bands with securement straps secured at ends of the net to enable securement of the net to support objects.
