A wrist watch type container for a toy robot or the like is provided for securely accommodating a toy robot. The wrist watch type container for a toy robot or the like comprises a casing member, strapping means, and cooperating means. The casing member comprises a hollow base portion and an edge portion extending upwardly of the peripheral margin of the hollow base portion. The strapping means is coupled to the casing member for wearing on the wrist. The cooperating means is provided in the toy robot or the like to be held in the casing member for coupling with the engaging means, whereby the toy robot or the like is suitably accommodated within the space surrounded by the edge portion. The engaging means may be a hook member, magnets, or any other suitable clamping device.
A robot-like electronic device changeable from a cubical or box profile to a robot profile includes a first body, two second bodies and a third body. The two second bodies are hinged to two sides of the first body through a swiveling beam. The third body is pivotally coupled on the bottom side of the first body. The first, second and third bodies can swivel relative to one another. The two second bodies and the third body can be coupled with the first body, to become a cubic or box. The two second bodies also may be swiveled outwards, like two arms of a robot. The third body can be swiveled 90 degrees relative to the first body and bent forwards like a foot, so that the first body can stand upright on a flat surface like a robot.
A yo-yo has a recess in one of its faces accommodating a timepiece. The yo-yo is be releasably accommodated in a base, and the base may be worn on a user's person by various means including a wristband in the manner of a wristwatch, a fob or a watch chain in the manner of a pocket watch, a necklace in the manner of a necklace watch, or a holster.
This invention relates to a portable toy capable of playing, at different times, different, interchangeable, electro-mechanical toy-units. The invention provides a toy which permits a user to have a single power-unit to supply electrical and mechanical energy to a toy-unit which is received by the power-unit. However, the toy-units are interchangeable and so the user can play, at different times, with several different toy units, with each different toy-unit providing a different toy with which the user can play. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the power-unit is worn on a wrist of the user.
A strap closure for straps of wrist watches comprises a magnetic closure and an automatic mechanical lock. The closure comprises two closure parts (1, 2) and at least one permanent magnet (16) and a yoke (9), which form parts of a magnetic circuit. Said magnetic circuit is disposed inside a shield (6) made of a ferromagnetic material and closed as far as possible on all sides. Between the magnetic circuit (9, 15, 16) and said shield or other closure parts there is no metallic contact whatsoever with elements of high permeability, the magnetic circuit is instead isolated from the shield or from other closure parts by air gaps (22, 23) and fastening elements (14) of a low permeability close to the value of air.
A wristwatch mounting an animated head of a figure and including a moveable nose overlying a watch face and formed by one end of a moveable member, the opposite end forming an armature. The moveable member is mounted on a laterally extending pivot pin such that magnitude of the torque due by the gravitational pull on such centers of mass on the opposite sides of such pivot pin are equal. A integrated circuit is provided which combines the capability to control clock functions, actuate the animation feature, synthesize speech and drive a dynamic speaker to provide overall control of the animation from a single actuation. Firmware incorporated in the integrated circuit includes means to selectively vary the message and comment in order to provide enhanced animation and novelty.
