Abstract
A delivery bed has a seat part supported on raisable and lowerable side-pieces. A leg-support has side tubes which are journalled for axial movement on forwardly and rearwardly located pairs of support rollers journalled on bolts attached to the side-pieces. Mounted on the side-pieces are guide bars which present along the bottom edge surfaces thereof a plurality of circle-segmental latching recesses intended to co-act with circular latching flanges on the rearwardly located support rollers in selected latching positions. The position of the leg-support is adjusted by lifting the support and axially moving the same to a desired latching position.

4682376 - Delivery bed - Owned by Landstingens Inkopscentral Lic, Ekonomisk Forening (Solna,SE) [*] Notice:The portion of the term of this patent subsequent to October 7, 2003 has been disclaimed.

4821350 - Child delivery bed - Owned by Landstingens Inkopscentral, Lic, Ekonomisk Forening (Solna,SE)

A child delivery bed includes a raisable backrest section which is located at one end of a center section, and further includes a leg support section that can be displaced axially beneath the center section. The center section has provided on the edge part thereof facing the leg support section a sunken recess which is open towards the leg support section, therewith to enable blood and other substances to run down to the underlying leg support section. The leg support section has formed thereon a longitudinally extending channel, the width extension of which is at least equal to the width of the open end of the sunken recess and which slopes down towards the outer end portion of the leg support section, at which end portion the bottom of the channel terminates at a drainage edge. Detachably arranged beneath the drainage edge is a collecting vessel for collecting blood and other substances running down from the drainage edge. The vessel thus accompanies the leg support section during its adjustment to different desired positions, in which positions blood running from the sunken recess will always be collected in the channel for drainage into the collecting vessel.

5522098 - Parturition bed - Owned by Berghammer; Karin (AT)

A parturition bed having a lying surface (1) transversely divided into two mutually adjustable parts has a main supporting part (2) and a leg supporting part (3) that may be adjusted from a common lying plane into planes approximately parallel to the lying plane located at different heights with respect to each other. The leg supporting part (3) can be moved when in a lowered position in relation to the main supporting part (2)in the longitudinal direction of the parturition bed into a free space located below the main supporting part (2), at least in the pelvis supporting area of the latter. In order to allow the parturient to take any desired position, including a vertical position, during childbirth, while ensuring easy access to the doctor and midwife, the main supporting part (2) is supported on an overhanging beam (6) with relation to a main stay (5) arranged at the head end of the main supporting part (2) and supported on the floor (4), and can be lifted into a higher position and lowered back again by an adjusting mechanism (8, 9, 11, 12, 13).
