5133547 - Self-adjusting basketball goal - Owned by Jayfro Corporation (Waterford, CT)

A basketball goal includes an upright member and a backboard assembly and connecting members for mounting the backboard assembly to the upright member. A pivoting member is used to pivot the backboard assembly to raise or lower the rim. Locking members are also provided to secure the backboard into position after pivoting.

5813579 - Dual beverage holder

The present invention relates to a dual beverage container holder adapted to be mounted around a console gear shift. Each container bolder comprises a substantially L-shaped base member having a horizontal bottom support and a back support vertically depending therefrom. First and second curved arms extend from opposing sides of the back support for receiving and stabilizing a beverage container. A flexible strap is attached to an end of the first curved arm and has an attachment means on a distal end for selectively engaging a mating attachment means on the opposing second curved arm. Outwardly extending from the top end of the back support is a pair of substantially parallel tongues, each of which has a plurality of substantially aligned snap connectors thereon for selectively engaging apertures on the opposing beverage container holder. The aligned snap connectors allow the distance between the two beverage container holders to be adjusted as desired. The first beverage holder is attached to the second beverage holder such that the two tongues surround a center console gear shift.

4930662 - Flexible plate dispenser and improved flexible plate

A canister container holds stacked flexible dishes, nominally plates, in their normal upright orientation in position above a large, roughly circular, central bottom aperture to such canister. The plates are supported in this position within the canister by an inwardly-directed peripheral flange extending approximately 230 degrees around the circumference of the bottom aperture which engages the edge margin of a bottom one of the stacked flexible plates. The stacked flexible plates are also supported in this position by at least one, and preferably two, inwardly-directed peripheral tabs which are situated about the bottom aperture of the canister at positions opposite to the flange. The canister also preferably has a second aperture in its cylindrical sidewall between and above the location of the two tabs to the bottom aperture. Selected bottom ones of the stacked flexible plates may be slightly temporarily warped or deformed by manual force applied through the second aperture to pass beyond supporting engagement with the tabs. The flexible plates are then slid laterally from the canister through its bottom aperture until they no longer engage the flange. Storage and dispensing of flexible plates is thereby performed.

4896611 - Drink holder for automotive mini-vans

A drink holder for mini-vans is detailed and described which does not require a fixed physical attachment to a mini-van, the drink holder having a flat surface tray with a plurality of openings therethrough adapted to receive various sized drink containers or soft drink cans, and a coffee cup, together with a rectangular shaped receptacle providing a cavity below the surface of the top, the cavity for receiving small food or non-food items. Attached to the bottom surface of the top are a pair of "J" shaped legs, the elongated portion of the legs adapted to be frictionally secured interiorly to a compartment provided in the mini-van front console and dashboard assembly and thereby to secure the tray in a fixed level portion. The legs are each hinged to the bottom surface of the tray to swing in towards the tray for minimum storage room and protection against breakage of the legs during non-use. A cross member is forcibly urged against each leg to hold the legs perpendicularly outward of the tray, the cross member secured in a notch formed in the legs proximate the hinge. The cross member, in addition, provides a lower bottom support for a cup held in one of the plurality of the openings.

5038982 - Support unit in an automobile

An accessory for disposition in an automotive vehicle to support a disposable trash bag, a liquid-containment bottle, and two drinking cups. The trash bag is suspended from a platform that is located below a liftable clamp plate; the plate exerts a clamping pressure on the upper edge areas of the trash bag to retain it in a suspended position. The liquid containment bottle is located equidistantly from the two drinking cups such that the bottle can be swiveled around its central axis to orient a discharge spout above either drinking cup for pouring purposes.
