Abstract
A guide rail is provided along the length of the inside of a channel shaped frame which staples are loaded in. A staple pushing member, namely, a slider is provided which can move on this guide rail. One end of a tension coil spring is fitted to one side of the guide rail on the inside of the frame, the tension coil spring is brought around the front end of the guide rail and the other end of the tension coil spring is fitted to one side of the slider. The tension coil spring thus exerts a tensile force on the slider which in turn pushes the staples forward on the guide rail.

4993616 - Electric stapler cartridge - Owned by Max Co., Ltd. (Nihonbashi,JP)

The present invention is an improvement in a staple sheet cartridge for an automatic stapler where sheets of staples are delivered to the forming and driving section of the stapler by a conveyor belt. A retaining protrusion is formed on a guide member such that contact area of, and perpendicular force on the staple sheet are maximized without auxiliary magnetic means, allowing smooth, positive and consistent delivery of the staple sheets to the forming and driving section of the stapler.

6918524 - Staple attracting member for attracting jammed staples - Owned by ACCO Brands, Inc. (Lincolnshire, IL) NISCA Corporation (Yamanashi-Ken,JP)

A staple storage unit (10/20) allows the effective and easy removal of jammed staples (200) from the inside of the apparatus (100) by attracting jammed staples to the staple storage unit. The staple storage unit can be removed from the stapler apparatus frame. The staple storage unit is detachably mounted to a stapler apparatus provided with a storage unit (10) storing staples and a guide unit (20) to guide staples in this storage unit to a staple driving unit (103). The stapler includes staple attracting member (24) in the apex of a staple driving unit on the guide unit (20).

7513406 - Mini desktop stapler - Owned by Worktools, Inc. (Chatsworth, CA)

A miniature spring-actuated stapler includes a tapered, flat power spring to store energy and eject staples. The power spring pivots at a rear of the stapler housing and includes three co-extensive arms terminating near the striker. As the L-shaped handle of the stapler is pressed, it acts on the center arm of the power spring to deflect it downward while the outer arms deflect upward. The arms are integral at a rear end and the outer arms are linked to the striker at the front. A tapered, flat reset spring disposed generally parallel to the power spring is used to reset the internal action. The housing includes open top and rear areas with the handle providing the enclosure thereof. A base assembly is slidably attached at a bottom of the stapler with an open position exposing a staple-loading chamber.

7395955 - Stapler - Owned by Staples The Office Superstore, LLC (Framingham, MA)

A stapler includes a body and a strike plate movably mounted to the body between a rest position and a loaded position. The strike plate is adapted to drive a staple into a target object. The strike plate may be moved from the rest position to the loaded position by a loading mechanism against the bias of a power spring, whereupon the energy stored in the power spring is applied to the strike plate to drive the staple. A stapler may include a lockout which inhibits movement of the strike plate toward the loaded position unless a work piece is beneath the stapler body.
