Cyclohexane-1,3-dione derivatives of the formula ##STR1## where A is tetrahydropyran-4-yl, 3-methyltetrahydropyran-4-yl, 1,4-dioxanyl, 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-dioxan-2-yl, 2,5-dimethyl-1,4-dioxan-3-yl, 2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dioxan-3-yl, 2-methyl-1,3-dithiolan-2-yl, 2,6-dimethyltetrahydrothiopyran-3-yl, 2-methyl-1,3-dithian-2-yl or unsubstituted or substituted 1,3-dioxepan-5-yl, R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methoxycarbonyl, R.sup.2 is alkyl and R.sup.3 is alkyl, alkenyl, haloalkenyl or propargyl, are used for controlling undesirable plant growth of grass species, especially in broadleaved crops and monocotyledon crops which do not belong to the grass family.
A new diphenyl-methane derivative is useful to inhibit agglomeration of blood and is defined by the formula, including a diphenylethylene derivative and a benzophenone oxime ether derivative. ##STR1## in which R1 and R2 each are hydrogen, hydroxyl or a lower alkoxy, U is .dbd.CXY or .dbd.N--O--W, X is hydrogen, cyano or --COR6, R6 being hydroxyl or an amino, Y is --R10--COOR3, R3 being hydrogen or a lower alkoxy, R10 being an alkylene having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, straight or branched, --CO--NR4R5, R4 and R5 each being hydrogen, a lower alkyl or a lower arylalkyl, --CH2--NHSO2--C6H5 or --C(R8).dbd.NR7, R7 being a lower alkoxy or an aryl, R8 is --VR9, V being oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen, R9 being an alkyl or an aryl, W is --CH2--CO--CH2--COOR13, R13 being hydrogen or a lower alkyl, --CH2--C(.dbd.NOR14)--CH2--COOR15, R15 being hydrogen or a lower alkyl, R14 being a lower alkyl, --CH(CN)--(CH2)q--COOR16, R16 being hydrogen or a lower alkyl, q being an integer of 1 to 3, or --(CH2)p--Z, Z being --SH, --SCN or a monovalent group derived from a five- or six-membered ring which may be substituted by a ring having one or more sulfur atoms in the ring, p being 1 or 2.
5-Tetrahydropyranone cyclohexenone oxime ethers I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 =C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl R.sup.2 =phenyl which can have attached to it 1-3 substituents; C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl, each of which can be substituted by halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted phenyl or unsubstituted or substituted phenoxy; and their agriculturally useful salts and esters.
Cyclohexenone oxime ethers of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkyl, A is unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.3 -, C.sub.5 - or C.sub.6 -alkylene or C.sub.3 -, C.sub.5 - or C.sub.6 -alkenylene, X is NO.sub.2, CN, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, phenoxy, alkylthio, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, carboxyl, alkoxycarbonyl, unsubstituted or substituted benzyloxycarbonyl and/or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl, n is 0-3 or 1-5 where X is halogen, R.sup.2 is alkoxy-alkyl or alkylthio-alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl, an unsubstituted or substituted 5-membered saturated heterocyclic structure having one or two oxygen and/or sulfur atoms as hetero atoms, an unsubstituted or substituted 6-membered or 7-membered heterocyclic structure having up to two oxygen and/or sulfur atoms and up to two double bonds, an unsubstituted or substituted 5-membered heteroaromatic having up to two nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom or one sulfur atom, or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl or pyridyl, and their agriculturally useful salts and esters of C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 -carboxylic acids and inorganic acids, processes and intermediates for their preparation, and their use as herbicides.
Cyclohexenone derivative of the formula ##STR1## where A is oxygen or NOR.sup.8, where R.sup.8 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl or haloalkenyl, chlorothienyl or alkoxyalkyl B is O, S, SO or SO.sub.2, X is hydrogen or methoxycarbonyl, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, carbonylalkyl, benzoyl or a cation, R.sup.2 is alkyl, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are hydroxyl, chlorine, bromine, thioalkylcarboxyl, thiocarbonylalkyl, alkylcarbonyloxy, alkoxy, or alkylthio, or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 together epoxy, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are hydrogen or methyl or R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are together methyleneoxyethylene, and R.sup.7 is hydrogen or methyl, and herbicides containing these compounds.
Saccharin derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## where the substituents have the following meanings: L and M are hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, chlorine, cyano, methylsulfonyl, nitro or trifluoromethyl; Z is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, acyl, or benzyl or phenyl which are unsubstituted or substituted by halogen or alkyl; J is a 2-linked, unsubstituted or substituted cyclohexane-1,3-dione ring, are described.
