A trifluoromethanesulfonanilide compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a lower alkyl group, X is a halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl group, n is an integer of 0 to 2, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may form, together with the adjacent carbon atom, a ring which may be substituted by a lower alkyl group.
A trifluoromethanesulfonanilide compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein Y is a (1-cyano-2-propyl)cyclopropyl group or a (1-cyano)cyclopentyl group.
