Abstract
A mousetrap (10) is made of a pivoting platform (12) suspended over a pitfall (14). The platform (12) is balanced in a manner such that it normally assumes a horizontal position, thus giving a mouse an appearance of a stable bridge over the pitfall. When the mouse (42) steps onto the platform (12) for the purpose of obtaining bait placed thereon, however, the platform (12) spins and dumps the mouse into the pitfall thereby trapping it.

5517784 - Mousetrap container

A mousetrap container having a container floor and container side walls, with a fluid positioned within the container cavity defined within the container, and a rotary cylinder mounted rotatably relative to an entrance opening of the container, such that the container cylinder is arranged to receive and adhere a bait thereto, and a platform mounted to the entrance receives a rodent thereon, such that the rodent upon traversing the platform is directed onto the cylinder and the bait, whereupon rotation of the cylinder directs the rodent into the fluid within the container.

5720126 - Mouse catching appartus

A portable apparatus for catching rodents includes a container adapted to hold a reservoir of water. A horizontally oriented cylindrical roller is rotatively supported within the container above the water reservoir. A moveable bait-holding arm is positioned above the roller. When a rodent pushes against the bait-holding arm, an electrical circuit is completed which energizes a motor to rotate the roller, causing the rodent to fall into the water reservoir.

6212819 - Reusable, odorless rodent trap

An apparatus for trapping and killing rodents, the apparatus including a container having an opening, the container being oriented such that the opening faces upward, thereby enabling retention of rodents in said container. The apparatus also includes a substantially cylindrical member rotatably mounted across the opening of the container, the cylindrical member providing unstable support for rodents, thereby causing rodents positioning themselves on the cylindrical member to fall into said container. A portion of the cylindrical member is treated with at least one rodent attractant to attract rodents to position themselves on the cylindrical member. The container contains a substance for killing rodents and masking the scent caused by the decomposition of rodents.
