Abstract
A fascia for securing a rubber membrane against the surface of a roof, the fascia including a rigid planar plate portion adapted to be secured to the generally vertical edge portion of the roof and to clampingly engage a portion of the rubber membrane to secure the rubber membrane against the vertical surface, and a rigid flange projecting from the planar plate portion and including a lower surface adapted to engage a portion of the membrane supported by the surface of the roof adjacent the edge and to secure the membrane against the upper surface of the roof.

6606828 - Aerodynamic roof edges

A roof edge fascia or coping cover having an aerodynamic exterior shape mainly comprising a lower face portion, an intermediate face portion, and a top face portion. The lower face portion is either generally vertical, or sloping or curving upwardly and outwardly, forming an angle within 60.degree. to the vertical outer wall surface of a building. The top face portion, of a substantial lateral size, is generally disposed within .+-.25.degree. from horizontal. The intermediate face portion, having at least one segment of a substantial lateral size sloping or curving upwardly and inwardly, connects the lower and top face portions. Slope changes at a junction between any two adjacent face portions, or adjacent segments thereof, are generally less than or equal to 50.degree.. Through controlling surface slope changes systematically, this invention ensures an aerodynamic roof edge configuration that effectively mitigate airflow separation from the building surface so as to suppress vortex formation and reduce adverse wind actions on a roof construction.

4780997 - Fascia including means for rigidly securing a membrane in place

A fascia for securing a rubber membrane against the surface of a roof, the fascia including a rigid planar plate portion adapted to be secured to the generally vertical edge portion of the roof and to clampingly engage a portion of the rubber membrane to secure the rubber membrane against the vertical surface, and a rigid flange projecting from the planar plate portion and including a lower surface adapted to engage a portion of the membrane supported by the surface of the roof adjacent the edge and to secure the membrane against the upper surface of the roof.

4848045 - Roof edge structures incorporated with single-ply polymer-coated fabric roof structures, and methods of making and assembling them - Owned by Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. (Saginaw, MI)

A single-ply, thermoplastic membrane roof construction includes, at its corners, a pair of right angularly disposed substantially rigid, edge, corner pieces welded together along a mitered joint by way of bringing a heating block into contact with the horizontal and vertical edges to be joined, and then converging the pieces to form the mitered corner which is fastened to the underlying roof structure. Strips formed of the same membrane fabric material as the roof covering membrane are welded to the horizontal upper walls of the edge pieces. Edge linear continuation strips are fastened in position to extend from the corner pieces, but with a gap between them and the corner-forming pieces. Clips mated to the configuration of the edge pieces and strips have portions at one of their upper and lower ends which snap into position to unite the spaced apart edge pieces.

4858406 - Coping structure including rigid anchor bar - Owned by Metal Era, Inc. (Waukesha, WI)

A coping assembly including an anchor bar adapted to be secured to a forward face of a wall, the anchor bar being an elongated plate adapted to extend along the length of the forward face of the wall, and a coping having an inverted channel configuration and including a top portion adapted to cover the top surface of the wall, the forward face of the coping including a lower edge portion engaging the elongated lower edge of the anchor bar, and a forward portion of the top of the coping being supported by the elongated upper edge of the anchor bar. The coping assembly also includes support cleats adapted to be secured by fasteners to the top of the wall, the support cleats including a generally horizontal portion adapted to be supported by the top of the wall, an upwardly inclined forward portion extending upwardly and forwardly and engaging a flange of the anchor bar.

6845590 - Fascia systems for roof edges - Owned by Southern Aluminum Finishing Company, Inc. (Atlanta, GA)

Fascia systems designed to fit over roof edges of buildings, including roof edges with membranes turning down ninety degrees over the vertical portion of the roof edge and built-up roofs, are disclosed. A fascia system includes a rigid base plate, a decorative cover plate, and at least one spring clip. The base plate is secured to a vertical portion of a roof edge with a screw or set of screws. The cover plate fits over the base plate, and the spring clips are situated between an upper portion of the base plate and the underneath side of an upper portion of the cover plate. A portion of an angular protrusion of the base plate extends along a horizontal portion of the roof edge.
