An electronic device having a flat and thin battery connected thereto by bonding or soldering, wherein the battery and the electronic equipment are connected electrically.

6203562 - Appliance for medical treatment

A medical treatment appliance to carry out therapeutical treatment by slightly pushing it to a skin of a patient, includes a grip portion, a conductor portion consisting essentially of electrically conductive metal(s), a "different metal" portion having an ionization tendency different from the electrically conductive metal(s), and optionally a crystal portion consisting essentially of a mineral, wherein the "different metal" portion, and optionally the crystal portion is(are) attached to the conductor portion.

6449513 - Method for inhibiting pain impulses in the nerve pathways of human beings and animals - Owned by Monika Festl (Nuremberg,DE)

According to a method of inhibiting pain pulses in the nerves of humans and animals and a device for carrying out the method the positive pole of an electrically uncharged capacitor is contacted with the skin surface around the place of pain in the body or the excited nerve from outside or fixedly applied there. In an excitation state, caused by a state of pain, of the nerves the pulse-like voltage peaks, which arise on voltage reversal in the nerves, are reduced or completely smoothed out by the electric flux of the capacitor.

5486680 - Warming system using a flexible battery

A warming apparatus in which a flexible battery is intimately associated with a heating element by thermo-coupling the heating element to the surface of the flexible battery. The flexible battery is formed in the shape of garments such as gloves or socks with a heating element attached thereto, which provides the advantage of increasing the electrochemical activity of the battery, permitting the battery to provide a heat sink for the heating element, as well as eliminating lengthy connections between the battery and the heating element, and eliminating bulky and often injury producing batteries.

5643480 - Field of the invention - Owned by Nordica S.p.A. (Trevignano,IT)

An electric heating device (34) in which is included an electric energy source (45) which is designed as a thin film battery (45). The heating device also includes a resistor heating unit (40) comprising a first material stratum (40) consisting of an electrically conductive polymer material with PTC properties. The resistor heating unit (40) and the electric energy source (45) are disposed adjacent to one another and form a composite unit in which the major surfaces of the first material stratum (40) and thin film battery (45), respectively, face towards one another. Electrodes (42, 43) are connected, by the intermediary of a switch (48), to the poles of the battery (45) and to the resistor heating unit (40).
