A dropout file storage drawer is slidably mounted on a bearing track assembly and includes a forwardly positioned cam and follower arrangement which permits the drawer to slope slightly downwardly while it is being pulled out of its associated cabinet. The slope angle continually increases as the drawer is pulled farther out of the cabinet, while a rearwardly positioned stop limits the distance of drawer removal. If desired, the drawer can be moved over the stop so as to permit the drawer to be turned downwardly to a substantially vertical angle while still being attached to the bearing track assembly.
A paper cassette is provided having on its bottom surface cassette rails and contact portions. The cassette rails are located in front of the contact portions by a predetermined distance. When the paper cassette is withdrawn, the cassette rails separate away from corresponding rollers before the contact portions come in contact with corresponding stoppers, after which the paper cassette remains supported only by support rails at the contact portions.
A storage device for use between exposed rafters of a basement or like ceiling is disclosed. The device includes a base and drawer each of rigid welded wire construction. The base is secured by wood screws to the bottom surface of adjacent rafters to span between them. The base includes tracks in the form of welded wires which define a pair of parallel slots. The wires also define an enlarged opening into the slots of the front end of the base. The drawer at the bottom of its rear end has a pair of spaced apart projecting T-shaped hooks for releasably and slidably engaging the track. The hooks also allow the drawer to hang vertically from the front end of the base and to be manually removed and reinserted into engaging with the slots through the wide openings. The drawer may be pivoted upward on the hooks and slid with the hooks engaged in the slots to a storage position atop the base and between the rafters. The unit's welded wire construction allows the drawer's contents to be readily seen from below even when the drawer is in the storage position between the rafters. The drawer is formed with security lip at its front end of its mostly open top to help keep stored items in the drawer even when it is hanging generally vertically from the base for easy access.
A storage cabinet with an over the cabinet top door mechanism in which a biased track member assembly slides the cabinet door to an open and stored position over the cabinet top surface. A semi one-way clutch lid stay prevents sudden closure of the door eliminating slamming of the door against the cabinet during closure.
A system for filing and storing documents is provided. The system comprises a file cabinet consisting of at least one compartment having a plurality of individually slidable storage units. Each storage unit consists of a pocket for retaining a series of documents. When the storage unit is pulled outwardly from the housing of the file cabinet, the documents retained in the pocket remain neatly organized and readily accessible. Further, easy identification of the documents retained in the pockets of the storage units is achieved. Each storage unit includes a slanted wall on which the documents stored therein are supported, a retaining arm for maintaining the documents fixed in the pocket and an assembly which allows movement of the unit, all of which are designed to enhance and facilitate the filing of documents.
A drawer assembly whereby an angular and horizontally configured guide slot is embedded on the guide brackets that produces a travel pattern. The drawer side panels have forward and rear cylindrical protrusions that engage the guide slot. The travel pattern is designed to control the drawer's position within the assembly and the forward and rearward range of movement. A decorator front panel provides a space for a handle and limits the rearward movement of the drawer. Removable stay pins in the guide slot stop the drawer from being unintentionally disengaged. A bottom stiffener at the rear of the assembly adds rigidity and also can support under counter lighting or other items.
