A wrapper for enclosing an article. The wrapper is wrapped around the article with an overlapping area of the wrapper being sealed. A line of perforations are aligned in a fixed position relative to the overlapped area so that lateral pressure applied to either side of the perforation line tears the wrapper at the perforations. Preferably, the lower one of the overlapped portions of the wrapper has a cut extending from the side to facilitate separation of wrapper about a tear line.
A package is composed of an inner box accommodating an inner content and an outer packing member essentially formed of a plastic film layer and adapted to wrap the inner box so as to have end portions to be bonded in a projecting manner through a heat sealing process. A pair of notches are formed to an end edge portion of the bonded end portions of the outer packing member and the packing member is provided with an easily opening portion at a portion near a base portion of one of the projected bonded end portions so as to correspond to the paired notches. In another aspect, a carton package comprises a carton body having an opened end, a pair of lid pieces formed integrally with the carton body and a carton tape applied to mating end edge portions of the lid pieces when closed, the carton tape having a tearing portion, from which the carton tape is easily torn, formed so as to extend in a longitudinal direction of the carton tape at a central portion in a width direction thereof.
The outer surface of an article is covered with a wrapping film, and the both edges of the film are lap-welded with each other to constitute a body seal section. A first slit is formed along the body seal section, substantially parallel thereto, and is spaced a small distance apart therefrom. A second slit is formed in the body seal section substantially at right angles or an inclined angle to the edge of the body seal section. When the end of the first slit is peeled off, the film splits along the body seal section and also towards the second slit. The second slit helps the split to stretch further in the transverse direction of the article. As a result of this, the wrapping film splits in both the longitudinal and lateral directions thereof.
A packaging structure for packaging a packaged article having a rectangular parallelpiped shape, such as a tape cassette accommodating case and a disc cartridge accommodating case includes an adhesive portion and at least one non-adhesive portion formed on a portion wherein one end of a film-shaped packaging material overlaps the other end of the film-shaped packaging material when the packaged article having a rectangular parallelpiped shape is packaged by the film-shaped packaging material. The packaged article is packaged by bonding the adhesive portion and the non-adhesive portion is left as an unwrapping start portion.

An easy opening film package for wrapping cubic or rectangular shaped articles is prepared from a film having a printed portion containing ink and a compatible thermoplastic resin on one surface of the film. The film is wrapped around the article and heat sealed in the area of overlap of the film ends. The printed portion extends to the ends of the film and across the film over a width substantially coextensive with the width of the face of the article on which the seal is to be located.
