Abstract
A packaging assembly adapted for labeling includes: (a) a computer printout sheet having through holes in two parallel rows, (b) a flexible plastic sheet extending flatly adjacent one side of the printout sheet and locally bonded to the printout sheet along elongated bond zones extending at least partly about at least one pocket zone located between said two rows of holes. The printout sheet may comprise a paper sheet and a plastic film attached to the paper sheet and in turn heat bonded to the plastic sheet. The composite assembly is typically perforated along lines to enable separation of the pockets or bags; and prior to such separation the paper sides of the bags may be labeled.

4859083 - Bag chain attached to computer paper - Owned by Minigrip, Inc. (Orangeburg, NY)

A series of bags having printable areas thereon with the bags secured at their base to a support strip and the support strip is mounted to a continuous support web such as computer paper by a strip of double surfaced adhesive tape supplied between the strip and computer paper with the computer paper thereafter folded to maintain the bags in registry for subsequent printing.

5221567 - Packaging system

A web of packaging material includes a pair of flaps folded onto a backing sheet and laterally heat sealed at uniform positions along the web, forming pairs of bags having laterally opposed openings. The web is perforated at the heat seals to allow ease of separation of the pairs of bags from the web, while longitudinal perforations allow for the separation of the bags of each pair from each other. Releasable adhesive strips are provided on closure flaps to allow closure of the openings of the separated bags. The bags are filled by draping them over a carrier bar, passing them under a blower and filler, and subsequently separating the bag pairs from each other and sealing them.

5275857 - Continuous form

A paper web comprises separable marginal web feed portions surrounding a continuous form. The continuous form has regularly longitudinal spaced opposed pairs of transverse cut lines extending from each marginal web portion. The pairs of transverse lines leave an uncut middle portion of the web and furthermore the lines extending from each marginal web portion are of uniform length. A perforation or score line runs longitudinally along the inner end of the transverse lines extending from each marginal portion. This web construction permits the continuous form portion of the web to be folded in the direction of motion of the web over the shortest known distance prior to cutting or separating the web at the opposed pairs of lines to form folded sheets. In another embodiment, the transverse cut lines may be replaced by transverse perforation lines in which case the web is burst at these lines prior to folding.

6419392 - Web of sterile bags for automatic bagging equipment - Owned by Advanced Poly-Packaging, Inc. (Akron, OH)

A web of serially positioned pre-opened sterile bags adapted for implementation with an automatic bagging machine is presented. The web of bags is defined by a polyester sheet selectively bonded to a paper backing sheet, with the bags being separable from each other by perforations. The webs of bags conducive for implementation with automated packaging equipment are devised by slitting columns of bags from an existing matrix and separating the bags within the columns from each other by means of perforations.

5913725 - Secure mailer/receipt business form - Owned by Moore U.S.A. Inc. (Grand Island, NY)

A secure mailer/receipt business form including a top and bottom ply and at least one intermediate ply constituting a separable receipt part which receipt part is associated with image transfer material for imparting information onto the bottom ply, the rear face of the top ply including a coated adhesive material covering at least part of the surface, adhesive being coated with a releasable non-adhesive backing materials connected to the separable receipt part such that withdrawal of the separable receipt part will release the backing material to expose the adhesive layer to adhere the top ply to the top face of the bottom ply thereby sealing the top and bottom plies together after removal of the receipt part to restrict tampering with the remaining business form without damage to the form.
