A display box for an ornamental article including pivotally interconnected top and bottom members, the bottom member having an insert panel removably mounted therein and to which a display panel for receiving an ornamental article for display thereon is pivotally interconnected, the insert panel including a resilient pad with which the display panel engages, the resilient pad urging the display panel in an upwardly inclined direction to a display position upon location of the top member in the open position thereof.
The present invention provides a musical jewelry box that includes a box formed by a pair of sections, each having an open cavity and a rim defining an opening to the cavity, said sections being joined along a hinge. Preferably, the rim of the second section has an inwardly stepped configuration that is designed to be inserted into the rim of the first section when the box is closed. A push button switch, activated by a lever arm connected to the switch, is mounted on the inner surface of the first section with the end of the lever extending from the rim. When the box is closed, the lever is depressed by the edge of the rim of the second section. The opening of the box releases pressure from the lever to reset the switch. An electronic musical tone generating device, located within the first section, is connected to the switch and is activated by the switch when the box is open and deactivated by the switch when the box is closed. A liner, inserted into the cavity of the first section hides the switch and the musical tone generating device. The liner is provided with a freely deformable portion covering the end of the lever so that pressure may be exerted against the lever, by the edge of the second section, when the box is closed.

Packaging for data or recording media, for example for magnetic tape cassettes or compact disks, consists of snapped together lower and upper parts and a support frame, in the end areas of which spring elements are formed which press the lower part and upper part apart. The spring elements are formed in the shape of legs at the end of the support frame, which is in the shape of a crosspiece, into which a resilient clasp can be inserted, the end sections of which press on the insides of the lower part and upper part. Tongues formed on the crosspiece and connected with the legs assure the mechanic stability and torsion stiffness of the support frame along with the most economical use of the material and form receptacles for the secure holding and positioning of the recording medium.
A neckform for supporting and displaying a necklace and including an end plug member for supporting a second ornamental article thereon is disclosed. The end plug member may be removably supported within the neck form such that the end plug is interchangeable with a variety of end plugs designed to hold various articles of jewelry. The end plug may include any number of a variety of supports for displaying various articles of jewelry or other ornamental articles. For example, the end plug may include a slit for supporting the band of a ring, may include one or more apertures for supporting earrings and/or pins, and may include a wrist extension for supporting a bracelet or watch.
