In the inventive touch-operated see-through coordinate input unit, the contacting wires embedded in the upper and lower substrate sheets in a relative perpendicular disposition are divided into groups each of at least two of the adjacent wires and the wires belonging to the same group are bonded to the same electrode. When the upper sheet is depressed with a finger tip or stylus point at a crossing point of the wires on the upper and lower sheets, electrical contact can be obtained at two points or more between wires so that, different from conventional coordinate input units in which electrical contact is obtained at only a single point by a pushing stroke, the reliability of the input operation can be greatly improved also with decreased fatigue of the operator in continuous working of long time.
An input device for an injection molding machine is constructed with an input touch panel fitted over a display screen. The input touch panel is formed greater than the display screen. A panel extension portion of the input touch panel is located outside of the display screen. At least one key portion having at least one specific key is displayed on the panel extension portion. By this arrangement, no separate switch panel, such as a membrane sheet switch, is necessary and all inputs can be made by touch operation.
A transparent touch panel includes a movable electrode film which is transparent and flexible, a hard coating layer which is transparent and formed on an upper surface of the movable electrode film, a movable electrode which is transparent and formed over a lower surface of the movable electrode film, a contractible resin layer which is transparent and formed between the movable electrode film and the movable electrode in correspondence to the hard coating layer, a fixed electrode-supporting member disposed in opposition to the lower surface of the movable electrode film, a fixed electrode formed on an upper surface of the fixed electrode-supporting member opposed to the lower surface of the movable electrode film, and spacers formed between the lower surface of the movable electrode film where the movable electrode is formed and the upper surface of the fixed electrode-supporting member where the fixed electrode is formed.
According to a pattern input unit of the invention, when a pattern is written by hand on an absolute coordinate data output means, a decision will be made on whether a segment or two points must be formed by a decision means according to two absolute coordinates generated one after another therefrom, point or segment is displayed in sequence on a display means according to the decision result, thus displaying a pattern same as the pattern written by hand.
A touch panel includes a display unit having display elements which are arranged in a first lattice, and an input panel, put on the display unit, having a structure in which transparent resistive films maintained at a predetermined distance by insulating dot spacers are provided on a transparent substrate, the insulating dot spacers being arranged in a second lattice, wherein a relative angle .theta. between a direction in which the display elements are arranged in the first lattice and a direction in which the insulating dot spacers are arranged in the second lattice falls in a range of 15.degree..ltoreq..theta..ltoreq.30.degree..
