A portable collapsible porch is provided for use with campers, camping trailers and the like which includes a foldable platform structure and collapsible legs, stairway and protective rail structure, thereby requiring minimal space for storage and transportation, and further includes adjustable legs to facilitate use in uneven terrain.
Decking systems for recreational vehicles are disclosed as well as methods of assembling the decking systems. One of the disclosed system provides a rectangular deck which contains a plurality of elongated side-by-side disposed boards. The deck has an inner edge for attachment to the exterior of a recreational vehicle. The inner edge is formed by a plurality of the ends of the plurality of side-by-side disposed boards. The system also includes an inner edge support for attachment to the exterior of the motor vehicle which receives the plurality of the board ends to support the deck's inner edge. In addition, the system has a frame for maintaining the plurality of boards in side-by-side disposition, and for cooperating with the inner edge support to secure the deck defined by the boards to the recreational vehicle. The deck is also provided with support legs for supporting the deck so that it is generally level, and at an elevated position relative to the surface supporting the motor vehicle. The deck thereby provides an elevated surface which may be used for recreational purposes.
A modular porch for a mobile home has vertically adjustable support legs which allow the modular porch to be mounted on a hill side and positioned adjacent the doorway of a wide variety of mobile homes. The modular porch utilizes four vertical support legs, each of which is independently axially adjustable. The modular porch has a stairway which is pivotally mounted to allow adjustment to match the surrounding terrain.
The present invention is a free standing portable deck for use with recreational vehicles. The deck further comprises a polygonal shape lower support frame. The support frame further comprises a plurality of removably interconnected rails. A flat planar platform portion is being removably mounted upon the lower support frame. A plurality of leg members are being disposed underneath the lower support frame at each corner such that the platform portion is held in a substantially level position at a predetermined height in relation to the recreational vehicle door. Each leg member is removably connected to each corner of the lower support frame. The upper support frame is removably connected to the lower support frame and extends linearly upward. At least one step means provides for ingressing and regressing onto the platform portion. The at least one step means is located at a predetermined distance from the lower support frame and at a predetermined height in relation to the ground level. The upper support frame forms a partial enclosure of the platform portion. Disassembly means is provided for completely disconnecting the deck for easy storage.
A modular portable floor decking system for constructing a temporary or a permanent flooring structure is described. The system comprises a plurality of extruded metal hollow support posts and a plurality of beams interconnectable with the posts to form a support frame. Decking boards are securable across the beams. The support posts each have flat outer surfaces and two or more longitudinal connecting channels each disposed internally of an associated one of the flat outer surfaces. The channels have a central narrow slot extending along the respective flat outer surfaces. The beams have opposed flat connecting end walls and a metal clamping shoe is connected to the end walls of the beams by fasteners whereby to displace the shoe away from the flat surfaces to slide the shoe in a respective connecting channel of the posts as the beam is lowered between two posts. The shoes are clamped in the channels by the use of fasteners which are accessible behind the flat connecting end walls of the beams whereby to clamp the beam between a pair of posts.
An adjustable stair and platform system. The apparatus includes a set of stairs which is affixable to a platform at a first height or alternately at a second height. Both the platform unit and the stair unit include vertically adjustable legs above ground engaging feet. The stairs includes a stair rail frame which is releasably affixable to a side hand rail frame provided for the platform unit. The hand rail frame provided for the platform unit includes an end rail which is pivotally mounted to the side hand rail frame. The end rail frame is changeable to support a right hand or a left hand configuration of the side hand rail frame provided on the platform unit. The combination of vertical adjustability, and left and right hand adjustability, make the unit adaptable for various installation configurations, and avoids the need for multiple stair system units for portable buildings.
