A character for illuminated display signs comprising elements in the form of quadrangular prism and isosceles triangular prism provided with a bulb therein and engaged by interconnectors so that the bulbs are electrically connected in parallel.
A construction member includes an external frame portion made of polycarbonate resin with connection holes formed along its periphery. The front face of the external frame portion has attached thereto a freely removable panel made of, for example, a first plate of transparent glass having a concave portion and a flat second plate. Between the first plate and the second plate there is formed a continuous hollow portion, which, as a figure plate, contains a letter, pattern, or the like. The continuous hollow portion is charged with, for example, neon gas and has attached thereto two electrode tubes. The external frame portion has formed therein, at a distance from the panel, a partitioning member containing a reflective sheet freely removably attached to the surface thereof formed, for example, of aluminum foil or synthetic resin film. The continuous hollow portion is luminous as a voltage is applied to two electrode tubes and the image emitted is reflected by the reflective sheet. The external frame portion has a freely removable back lid on its rear side.
A lighting device for displaying addresses, advertising indicia and other information includes modular housing which may be connected together to form various shapes. An insulating board is mounted in each of the modular housing and has upper and lower surfaces carrying electrically conductive material, with the board providing an insulating layer therebetween. Clips carrying electrical conductors interconnect the conductive materials on the board of adjacent housings. Electricity is transmitted through a clip to the board of one of the housings to provide illumination to illuminate the devices mounted on the boards in each housings.
An interlocking display panel assembly comprises a pair of end elements for attachment to a supporting surface, at least one intermediate element having an indicia displaying surface locatable in an interlocking relationship between the end elements to form an integral planar assembly, illumination devices in the intermediate elements. Each element interlocks with an adjacent element by means of a tongue-and-groove arrangement, male and female portions of the tongue-and-groove arrangements on opposite sides of the intermediate elements being arranged in a complementary manner so that as many intermediate elements can be fitted together in a row as desired. Respective contacts are provided on opposing surfaces of adjacent interlocking elements so as to transfer electrical power between adjacent elements. One of the end elements includes a device for providing power to the assembly.
An apparatus for lighting or illuminating spaces, bodies or surfaces, which is formed from a plurality of light emitting diodes (1). The light emitting diodes (1) are radially enclosed by a casing body (14) which is adjoined at the end by a tubular element (15) which bears against a lens (4). A set spacing is thereby established between the light emitting diode (1) and the lens (4). All light spots issuing from the light emitting diode (1) are projected to form a single light spot of a high level of brightness by virtue of the superimposed relationship at a spacing in front of the lens (4).
