Contact sport protection sleeves and pads are provided for the forearm, elbow, knee and shin of the players including at least one protection panel of flexible elastomeric polymeric foam or of rigid plastic attached to an elastomeric sleeve with two flexible elastomeric polymeric foam edge pads abutting the lengthwise edges of the protection panel with the panel and edge pads all enveloped in elastomeric fabric with stitching between the abutting of the panel and the two edge pads providing extra protection with flexibility to reduce any restriction of movement of the player.
A resilient, flat closed-cell knee pad is rolled and inserted through a gap in a seam attaching edges of a patch to the knee area of a work pant. The knee pad then unrolls and fills a space between the work pant and the patch thereby protecting a wearer's knee when kneeling.
A shin protector designed to be worn for extended periods of time without discomfort, for protecting the shin area against minor impacts. The shin protector protects its user from abrasions and wounds that may result from everyday activity and is especially useful for the elderly.
A limb guard serves to protect a part of a limb from an external impact force and includes an elongate pad member, an elongate sheet layer mounted on the pad member to form an accommodation space between the elongate sheet layer and the elongate pad member, and a one-piece resilient impact absorbing member. The shock absorbing member is inserted in the accommodation space, and has a longitudinally extending central section of a first thickness adapted to resist and consequently absorb the external impact force applied thereon, and two lateral wing sections which are integrally formed with and which extend laterally from two longitudinal edges of the central section. Each of the lateral wing sections has a second thickness smaller than the first thickness to form a flexing juncture between the central section and each of the lateral wing sections so that each of the lateral wing sections can flex toward the part of the limb relative to the central section along a corresponding one of the flexing junctures to conform with and fit the contour of the part of the limb.
Deflector - Arm Protector provides protection to athletes participating in sports such as but not limited to baseball or softball. This arm protector wraps around the entire arm from the hand to the shoulder and is secured by velcro straps. This concept can be adapted to protect any vulnerable portion of the human body. It is comprised of padded material covered by a flexible plastic insert with varying geometric profiles fitted within a sleeve of elastic cloth type material of varying shapes depended on the required protective coverage for the arm. The impact force on the athlete's arm is greatly reduced due to the design profile (insert/pad assembly) load distribution, thus making it less painful when hit by the pitched baseball or softball.
Combination one-piece hand/forearm paddings and shin/foot paddings are disclosed, preferably, for use during martial arts events. The one-piece construction provides for a greater area of protection, and prevents the forearm and shin portions of the paddings from sliding up or down the wearer's arms and legs, respectively.
