Abstract
A golf glove (70) and watch (72) combination (74) uses a conventional golf glove (70) without modification. Strap (76) of the watch (72) feeds through retaining slots (78) on watch cases (80) and has Velcro hooks (82) on its surface facing away from the watch case (80). The strap (76) extends partly around flap (84) of the glove (70), so that ends (86) of the strap (76) engage Velcro loops (87) on the underside of the flap (84). The golf glove (70) has a pad (88) of Velcro hooks (90) beneath the flap (84) for mating engagement of the Velcro loops (87) on the underside of the flap (84). When the flap (84) is pressed against the pad (88) so that the Velcro loops (87) and hooks (90) engage with ends (86) of the strap (76) in place, the watch ( 72) is held securely in place.

Confronting surfaces of the top strap and the back surface patch comprise cooperating interengaging means, such as hooks and loops of VELCRO fabric. The scoring device of the invention is affixed to a strip of plastic and then cemented to a strip of hook VELCRO. The assembly is then placed over the top of a glove top strap and fastened to the loop VELCRO on the underside of the glove top strap. In a preferred embodiment, the scoring device consists of a flexible plastic strip and plastic beads connected thereto and together by a linkage of nylon thread. A second embodiment includes a rotary, numbered disc scoring device. The scoring device may also be affixed directly to the glove tab.

5688183 - Velocity monitoring system for golf clubs

A golf club head velocity monitor is disposed at or near the golfer's hands. The monitor is preferably detachably securable to the golfer's hands or a golf glove, so that a single monitor can easily be used with any club selected by the golfer. An inferential determination of club head velocity may be made from the output of a single accelerometer disposed to measure centripetal acceleration in the direction of the golf club shaft. The monitor may provide other functions such as timekeeping or scorekeeping functions.
