Abstract
A double functional exercise bike for exercise, training, rehabilation, and human interaction having two chairs, two handle bar frames, and two sets of pedals to provide rotating forces in opposite directions to commonly drive a damping device or generator and having an adjusting device to adjust the tension between driving system elements. The bike also includes at least one operational reaction training device and can include a dynamotor for producing electric power to be used as a driving device. The bike can embody a five-axle or a three-axle structure each with swing-type adjusting devices. The five-axle and the three-axle structure also having driving systems including drive and driven gears, at least two chain wheels and a chain, and a damping device such as a flywheel.

5360386 - Strength competition apparatus

A strength competition apparatus for pitting the entire bodily strength of one competitor against that of another. Each competitor is seated and operates an advancer for advancing his/herself in a relative forward direction using the advancer to apply leverage along a pair of transverse rails having a series of holes disposed within provided as part of the framework of the strength competition apparatus. By using the advancer to apply leverage against the transverse rails of the framework of the apparatus, each competitor attempts to prevent the opposing competitor from advancing forward as well. The present strength competition apparatus enables a competitor to engage in competition which pits his/her entire brute strength, of both the upper body and lower body, against that of another.

An exercise machine includes a frame, a motor/generator mounted on the frame and switched between a motor mode and a generator mode, a control unit connected with the motor/generator for activating the motor/generator in the motor mode, and two cranks connected with the motor/generator, wherein the cranks are driven via the motor/generator in the motor mode and drive the motor/generator in the generator mode. In an aspect, the exercise machine includes two pedals each attached to one of the cranks. In another aspect, the exercise machine includes two cranes pivotally mounted on the frame and two skis each including an end pivotally connected with one of the cranes and an opposite end pivotally connected with one of the cranks.

A stationary exercise bicycle comprises a frame having front and rear ground support elements, a front socket and a rear socket, and a seat socket; a pedal mechanism on said frame and a seat mounted on a seat socket at a level above the pedal mechanism, the seat being mounted for movement fore and aft relative to the seat socket, and upwardly and downwardly relative to the pedal mechanism.

5928114 - Exercise bicycle and adjunct device thereof

An exercise bicycle is composed of a base frame and an adjunct device. The base frame is formed of a first support tube, a second support tube, and a seat. The first support tube is provided with a shaft tube on which a crank is mounted. The crank is provided with two support shafts separated from each other for fastening pedals. The second support tube is located between two ends of the base frame and is provided at the top end thereof with a handlebar. The adjunct device consists of two long tread rods of a metal material and provided with two foot pads. The long tread rods are fastened pivotally and respectively at one end thereof with the crank such that another ends of said long tread rods are supported by two support elements at a level for doing a reciprocating motion. An exerciser is seated on the seat such that both feet of the exerciser pedal, or that the exerciser stands on the foot pads for doing a revolving treading motion.

6910992 - Tandem exerciser and power generator - Owned by Arguilez; Arcadio C. (San Diego, CA)

A tandem exerciser is described with two facing seats and two pedal cranks that cause tandem riders to face each other and pedal forwards. A mutually operable handlebar crank with opposing handles mechanically couples to pedals on both sides of the distal pedal crank. A single sprocket wheel concentrically attached to the proximal pedal crank is coupled by a twisted, figure-eight looped chain to one of two sprocket wheels coupled to the distal pedal crank. These opposing sprocket wheels are mounted to their respective pedal cranks so as to have opposite offset angles relative to vertical plane of frame. These offset angles prevent damaging physical contact between sides of chain. The remaining sprocket wheel of distal pedal crank is conventionally chain coupled to freewheel coupled to hub of flywheel. Optionally, a power generator is belt-coupled to outer rim of flywheel, to produce electrical, fluidic or motive power.
