5186563 - Fluid dispenser with applicator member

A dispenser for the application of a fluid or fluid-like material to another surface, such as, the surface of the skin is made up of an outer casing with an adjustable end cap at one end and an applicator brush at the opposite end, and a bellows-shaped container is disposed in the casing so as to be compressed by inward threaded adjustment of the end cap to discharge the material onto the applicator brush. A duckbill valve at the discharge end of the container automatically opens when a compressive force is applied to the contents within the container and, when force is no longer applied, will return to a closed position sealing off the end of the container.

5484427 - Body vacuum

The invention requires a brush having a passage through which water forced under pressure is supplied to the brush area and having a passage attached to a vacuum. The water supply passage and the passage under vacuum must be so aligned that the cleaning solution is removed from the area to be cleaned along with debris without allowing the contaminated solution to collect on the surface of the skin. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, no moving parts are required for the brush. The brush may be made of any soft material that is easily cleaned. However, a brush made of soft plastic bristles such as those used for surgical scrub brushes is preferred. The invention does not require formation of a foam as a cleansing agent.

5163200 - Foot scrubbing apparatus

A foot scrubbing apparatus is arranged as a compressible housing formed with a rigid floor, including a matrix of suction cups thereon. The housing includes a first top wall oriented at an obtuse angle relative to a second top wall. The first top wall includes a matrix of bristles and the second top wall includes a replaceable sponge member directed therethrough, with the second top wall including a lid member hingedly mounted relative to the second top wall formed with an opening to secure a flange portion of the sponge head to the second top wall. Compression of the housing projects cleaning fluid and/or a lotion compound through communicating apertures in the first and second top walls relative to an interior portion or cavity of the housing.

The invention is a cosmetic cleaning product, comprising a massage applicator comprising a container body and a massage device having at least one massage pin device, the pin device having at least one first surface which is configured to be in contact with the surface to be massaged, wherein a force can be transmitted between the first surface of the massage pin device and the surface to be massaged, and wherein at least one predetermined massage characteristic feature selected from the group consisting of a predetermined hardness, a predetermined geometry and a predetermined elasticity exists in a region of the first surface of the massage pin device which is configured to be in contact with the surface to be massaged, and at least one adjusting device which can adjust the at least one predetermined massage characteristic feature, and a cosmetic cleaning formulation.

5496122 - Replaceable stick deodorant package - Owned by The Mennen Company (Morristown, NJ)

Disclosed is a package for a solid stick product (e.g., antiperspirant or deodorant product), wherein the product is completely exposed on a retaining member so as not to require an elevating mechanism. The package has three components: a cover, the retaining member and a handle. The handle is removably connected to the retaining member, so that upon using up the product on the retaining member the handle can be removed and attached to another retaining member filled with product (which is, e.g., sold as a refill assembly). Molten product is filled through a fill hole in the retaining member into a cavity defined between the retaining member and cover; the retaining member has bosses for anchoring the product on the retaining member, and has vent channels extending between the bosses and the fill hole to displace trapped air from the bosses when filling the cavity. The cover has a vent hole (which is covered when filling the cavity with molten product) to facilitate removal and application of the cover to the retaining member.
