The generator wheel is composed of a tooth part and of a marker part. The tooth part has a rotational axis and a coaxial tooth or toothed edge in the shape of a circular ring with teeth situated distributed over its circumference, some of said teeth being marker teeth which include a recess. The marker part is secured to the tooth part and contains sheet metal strips corresponding in number to the number of marker teeth, said sheet metal strips projecting into said recesses of the marker teeth. Marker part and tooth part are composed of materials having different eddy current losses.
A pulser ring has cylindrical inner and outer rings nested together. The inner ring is formed at its one end with protrusions arranged at equal angular intervals. The outer ring is in the shape of a round comb and has its teeth engaged at a portion near the tip thereof in the grooves defined between the adjacent protrusions formed on the inner ring. The tip of each tooth protruding from the grooves is bent radially inwardly so as to engage the end face of the protrusion on the inner ring, thus coupling the inner ring and the outer ring together.
An antifriction bearing assembly has rolling elements and a magnetic encoder ring housed in an outer ring with two portions which can have different diameters. A sensor is removably attached to the outer ring in alignment with the encoder ring. Various seal assembly configurations may be used to seal the bearing while accommodating the sensor.

A clutch drum has a drum main body made of a metallic plate which is formed into a cup shape by drawing. Spline teeth for engaging with clutch plates are formed by pressing on a periphery of the drum main body. Pulsing teeth for detecting a rotational speed are formed by pressing on the periphery of the drum main body. An apparatus for manufacturing the clutch drum has a forming die onto which the drum main body is externally set in position. The forming die has formed thereon first tooth spaces corresponding to the spline teeth and second tooth spaces corresponding to the pulsing teeth. First tooth-shaped punches are provided so as to be movable radially back forth to form by pressing the spline teeth by urging the periphery of the drum main body into the first tooth spaces. Second tooth-shaped punches are provided so as to be movable also radially back and forth integrally with the first tooth-shaped punches to form by pressing the pulsing teeth by urging the periphery of the drum main body into the second tooth spaces.
A thin, metallic sensor ring for rotational sensing systems wherein protrusions formed on the periphery of the ring are constructed so as to interrupt an electromagnetic flux emitted by a sensing device mounted in fixed relation to the ring, whereby rotation of the ring may be detected. The protrusions are formed without removing any metal from the ring, preferably by a stamping or drawing operation. Slits may be provided in the ring to facilitate the formation of the protrusions. The ring may be partially encapsulated in a plastic mounting adapter to facilitate mounting thereof on a rotating shaft or hub.
