A cleaner wherein the upper surface of a main body is provided with fasteners each of which includes a stopper arm portion which is opened and closed by slidably operating an opening and closing lever that is engageable with sides of the main body, while each side of the main body is provided with a pile composed of short tufts. A cloth having a larger area than that of the bottom of the main body is pierced with the pile to lock the same to the opposite sides of said main body, and the cloth is positively retained on the opposite sides of the main body by the stopper arm portions of the fasteners, so that the bottom of the main body is covered with the cloth.
A wiping instrument can clean places which previously have been difficult to clean is arranged such that a ground contact pressure of a wiping cloth per unit area is allowed to increase, and further a wiping cloth on the instrument can scrub the surface to be cleaned so as to follow irregularities existing on the surface to be cleaned. Accordingly, the wiping instrument provides a wiping cloth which is attached to the bottom of a base plate portion provided with a handle. The wiping operation is performed by moving the wiping cloth over a surface to be cleaned. The base plate portion is made of a rigid material and a plurality of elastic projections are erected on substantially all of the surface of the bottom of the base plate portion. The wiping cloth is attached to the bottom of the base plate portion so as to cover a plurality of the elastic projections.
A trigger actuated aerosol spray cleaning device having a cleaning head mounted by a quick disconnect coupler to be independently pivotal about at least two axes. In one form, the coupler has a body with a socket receiving a plug end of the cleaning device which is retained by a button actuated, spring biased latching ring preventing axial separation from the coupler until the button is depressed. In another form, spring biased opposing jaws releasably clamp the head to the device. A swivel member pivotally mounts to either the coupler body or opposing jaws along one axis and to the cleaning head at a second axis. The swivel action in either case can be temporarily disabled by a sliding locking feature.
