Abstract
An improved marine anchor that may be quickly assembled or disassembled from its component parts. The compactness of these parts allows for very convenient storage of the anchor when it is disassembled. When assembled, the anchor provides great strength and holding ability. Because the anchor is very quickly assembled, it is ideal for emergency situations. Since the flukes are removable, the user can select various numbers and shapes, interchanging them for various sea-bed conditions as appropriate.

5092261 - Boat anchor

A boat anchor with a fixed pair of flukes on the end of the shank. For the purpose of illustration, the shank is square on the lower end and around on the opposite end. A pair of movable flukes are connected with means defining a central opening which, for the purpose of illustration, is square and received on the shank to fix a position of the movable flukes relative to the fixed flukes when in the lower position, and rotatable on the round portion of the shank to selectively and alternatively position the fixed and movable flukes. Accordingly, the fixed and movable flukes are in a right-angle position when in operation and can be adjusted to a parallel position when in storage.

5529023 - Grapnel boat anchor

A grapnel anchor having an elongated shank with a fixed arm at its lower end and several movable arms mounted on the elongated shank. Each movable arm is mounted on the shank by a polygonal hole in the center of the arm. The upper end of the shank is enlarged to prevent removal of the movable arms from the anchor's shank. The upper portion of the shank beneath its enlarged upper end is a cylinder sized to permit each of the movable arms to rotate about the upper cylindrical portion of the shank. The outer surface of the lower portion of the shank between its cylindrical portion and the anchor's fixed arm consists of several identical elongated rectangles which in cross section forms a regular polygon slightly larger than the polygonal hole in the center of the movable arms.

5404831 - Collapsible anchor assembly

There is disclosed an anchor assembly comprised of a shank member on which are disposed cooperating fluke members which are rotably positioned on the shank member wherein each fluke member is formed with stabilizer portions capable of assuming a nestling relationship therebetween in deployed cooperation of the anchor assembly.
