A liquid heavy duty laundry detergent composition comprising a suspension of builder salt in liquid nonionic surfactant in which the pourability and physical stability of the composition is improved by the addition of small amounts of an alkaline earth metal or zinc salt of higher fatty acid, especially magnesium, calcium and zinc distearate. The yield stress is reduced and the pourability of the composition is improved especially at low concentrations of the alkaline earth metal or zinc salt.
A process for manufacturing printed circuits provided with through holes, which comprises a cleaning pretreatment including a possible treatment by an organic solvent, a treatment in an alcaline solution of permanganate and a treatment for permanganate reduction, and a subsequent metallization treatment including a treatment for conditioning the walls of the through holes, a treatment for mordanting the copper surfaces, a precatalysis treatment, a catalysis treatment and a metallization treatment by a chemical copper both, wherein three treatments, namely reducing the permanganate, conditioning the walls of the through holes and mordanting the copper surfaces, are performed in a single step. The treatment for conditioning the walls of the through holes is performed by means of non-surfactant, water soluble polymers belonging to the group of the cationic polyelectrolytes. The composition for carrying out three treatments in a single step comprises an acid, hydrogen peroxide, a stabilizer for the hydrogen peroxide and a non-surfactant conditioner belonging to the group of the cationic polyelectrolytes.
Nonaqueous detergent compositions which are in the form of a liquid, paste or gel, wherein the compositions comprise a divalent and/or trivalent metal salt bleach activator are disclosed.
A thickened aqueous abrasive scouring cleanser containing bleach which is capable of stably suspending abrasives, has excellent bleach half-life stability, little or no syneresis and maintains these advantages over extended times and at elevated temperatures and comprises, in aqueous solution: (a) a colloidal aluminum oxide thickener having average particle size of no greater than about one micron; (b) at least one surfactant which can, in association with the aluminum oxide, provide proper rheology and cleaning; (c) an electrolyte/buffer to promote the environment in which the aluminum oxide and surfactant can associate to provide proper rheology; (d) a halogen bleach; (e) a particulate abrasive having average particle size of about 40 to 800 microns to provide scouring action; and (f) a phase stabilizing amount of a multivalent metal salt of a C.sub.16-22 fatty acid.
A phosphate-free mildly alkaline, dishwashing detergent composition containing: (a) from 20 to 60% by weight of sodium citrate; (b) from 5 to 50% by weight of alkali metal hydrogen carbonate; (c) from 7 to 12% by weight of alkali metal carbonate; (d) from 2 to 20% by weight of a bleaching agent; (e) from 1 to 8% by weight of a bleaching agent activator; and (f) from 0.2 to 4% by weight of an enzyme, all weights being based on the weight of the composition wherein the composition in the form of a 1% by weight aqueous solution has a pH value of from about 8 to less than 10.
