Abstract
Hollow frame members (1, 11), having openings (2, 12) to hold a picture along its longitudinal direction, and having connection faces (3, 13) cut to 45.degree. at its ends, receive each insertable leg part of an L-shaped corner connection fitting (5, 15). The frame members (1, 11) connect to each other in perpendicular relationship to form a square form. One stage or two stage engaging means consisting of stoppers (6, 16) and stopper holes (4, 14) at the corner part of the frame members enable expansion of the frame surface, allowing for assembly or disassembly, and easier replacement of pictures. Spring parts or guides (7, 17) are formed on the corner connection fittings (5, 15), to eliminate looseness of the frame members, and to make insertion and withdrawal smoother. The stoppers (6, 16) can be formed as one body with the corner connection fittings (5, 15) with a resin having elasticity to make the manufacturing of the corner connection fitting easier. The frame is formed with a groundpaper base (18) at the opening part (2, 12) to make setting or changing of the puzzle or photo easier.

5485705 - Corner assembly for a screen frame - Owned by Bay Mills Ltd. (Ontario,CA)

A corner assembly, for holding a screen frame, is provided in which the corner assembly has a pair of arms disposed to be connected to frame side members, preferably by being telescopically received therein, for installation inside a fixed frame at the periphery of a window. Each corner assembly includes a slide member carried in a slideway, which slide member carries a retaining protrusion extending therefrom, and with the slide member having a manually engageable, movable button, movable longitudinally, to move the slide member and its protruding button between two positions, one position of which is an extended position for the retaining protrusion, and another position of which is a retracted position therefor. In the extended position of the retaining protrusion, the protrusion is adapted to engage within a recess of a fixed frame member of a window.

5092063 - Picture frame - Owned by Dox Manufactures, Inc. (Orangeburg, NY)

A picture frame comprises a series of abutting frame elements joined by corner pieces. Each of the frame elements includes an aperture into which the artwork and accompanying materials, such as cover glass, mats and the like are received. Flexible arms extend along the frame elements and are biased to retain the artwork within the aperture, and permits the effective retention of artwork of various thicknesses. The corner pieces include pair projections which engage complimentary bores in the frame elements to retain the frame elements in position. A pair of the cover pieces may be of a modified construction to allow removal of a frame elements after assembly to permit changing the artwork. In such embodiment, a single projection, rather than a pair of projections is utilized to engage the removable frame element.

4993866 - Connection fitting for a picture frame corner

A corner connection fitting (1) for a frame is disclosed. The corner connection fitting (1) interconnects front frame members (18) to base frame members (13). The front frame members (18) are rotatable to an outer, open position so as to allow the picture (21) to be easily inserted or adjusted within the frame assembly.

5316153 - Display case apparatus - Owned by Chippenhook Corporation (Lewisville, TX)

A display case for displaying jewelry items or the like has a rectangular base unit with a base wall peripherally bordered by an upstanding frame section. A rear end wall of the frame structure is removable to permit insertion through the resulting frame opening of a display insert structure configured to support jewelry items such as rings and bracelets. As the display structure in inserted inwardly through the frame opening, opposite side edge portions of the display structure are slidably received in inner side surface grooves in the opposite frame side walls. When the display structure is fully inserted into the frame interior, the rear frame wall is reattached to thereby give the inserted display structure the appearance of being permanently framed within a dedicated display case. However, due to the base unit configuration, the display structure may be easily removed and replaced with a second, differently configured display insert structure to give the second insert structure the same permanently framed appearance using the same base unit.

6073412 - Corner key for window component assembly

The present invention relates to corner keys used in assembling structural components to form various structural shapes, such as a frame and sash section for a window, door panel, or other building or architectural construction. The structural members are formed by a process that includes continuously roll-forming a first sub-part and a second sub-part from pre-treated metal in flat coil-stock form. A thin layer of Extrudable Thermal plastic (ETP) is then selectively extruded to both the outside and inside surfaces of the sub-parts. Some of the ETP is extruded onto the roll-formed sub-parts in a functional shape, such as a "C" shaped pocket used to clip parts together. The sub-parts are joined together to form structural component material that can then be cut and fabricated to form individual structural components. Once the roll-formed structural components are selectively joined or coupled together to form a frame or sash, a shot of urethane foam is injected into the frame or sash and allowed to expand to fill the interior of the frame or sash. The addition of the foam provides permanent adhesion among the various structural components and significantly improves the structural integrity of the window casement. Hollow corner keys, the subject of the present invention, can be further added to improve the structural integrity of the window casement.
