A laminated material is prepared in which a resin composition layer (A) containing a thermoplastic resin and an inorganic filler in a scaly or non-scaly form in an amount from 20% to 80% by weight of the total weight of the thermoplastic resin and the filler interposes a resin composition layer (B) containing a thermoplastic resin and an inorganic filler in an amount from 30% to 70% by weight of the weight of the inorganic filler contained in the resin composition layer (A), the filler being in a scally form when the filler in the layer (A) is in a scaly form or being in a non-scaly form when the filler in the layer (A) is in a non-scaly form with a thermoplastic resin layer. For the laminated material in which the scaly inorganic filler is contained in the layer (A), the layer (B) containing the thermoplastic resin and the non-scaly inorganic filler in the amount of 20% to 80% by weight of the total weight of the thermoplastic resin and the non-scaly filler is interposed between the layer (A) containing the thermoplastic resin and the scaly inorganic filler in the amount of 20% to 80% by weight of the total weight of the thermoplastic resin and the scaly inorganic filler and the thermoplastic resin (C).
A vibration absorbing hose including a corrugated portion has multi-layered construction of tubular inner rubber layer, pressure resistant reinforcement layer circumscribing an outer side of the inner rubber layer and outer rubber layer as outermost cover layer. The pressure resistant reinforcement layer is formed, for example, by providing reinforcing yarns, so as to have corrugations along the corrugated portion of the inner rubber layer. The inner rubber layer contains scaly filler in an amount of 50 phr to 200 phr so as to be oriented in a stretching direction of the inner rubber layer. The scaly filler has an aspect ratio of 2 to 90.
An improved coextruded asymmetric multilayer plastic structure and method of forming the same are provided. The layers of the structure consist of a barrier layer comprised of an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer, an adhesive layer on each surface of the barrier layer, inner and outer surface layers, and a bulk layer positioned between the outer surface layer and its adjacent adhesive layers. The bulk layer is comprised of a thermoplastic polymer and calcium carbonate in an amount sufficient that the multilayer structure has an acceptable level of curling. The structure can be used to form a tubular body that has a cylindrical shape. A collapsible dispensing container having a body wall formed of the aforementioned structure and having improved product dispense properties is also provided.
