Abstract
A business forms mailer construction comprising an upper panel, at least one intermediate panel, and a lower panel; the upper panel is adhesively secured to the at least one intermediate panel, and the at least one intermediate panel is adhesively secured to the lower panel by glue lines, one of which extends along one side of the intermediate and lower panels. Also provided are a pair of slitter guide marks applied to one of the upper and lower panels, on either side of the glue line, so that by alignment of a slitting mechanism with the inner of the pair of guide marks, the mailer may be opened along one side for the insertion of one or more additional sheets. Alignment with the outer of the guide marks results in removal of a marginal portion of the mailer, but with the latter remaining sealed.

A facsimile packaging device and associated method wherein the pages of the facsimile transmission are packaged between a first and second sheet of packaging material which are affixed about their peripheries so as to form a package containing the transmission. The first sheet and second sheet of packaging material are delivered from a single stack of packaging material sheets. The first sheet of packaging material, the pages of the facsimile transmission and the second sheet of packaging material are sequentially delivered to a receiving tray, whereupon the second sheet is affixed to the first sheet to form the package.

5360159 - Mailers and business form assemblies for producing mailers - Owned by Moore Business Forms, Inc. (Grand Island, NY)

The invention relates to a sealed mailer or a business form assembly for providing a series of such mailers. In one form, the mailer has a folded edge and three other edges sealed by adhesive. A line of perforation extends along a first edge opposite the folded edge. Adhesive along the other two opposite edges is of a peel-apart arrangement such that after the first edge has been detached, the other two edges can be peeled apart to open out the mailer without significantly damaging the mailer. In another form, two rectangular sheets are sealed along all four edges with a line of perforation along a marginal edge portion of a first of the edges. Two edges adjacent the first edge and extending normal thereto are secured to one another by a peel-apart adhesive arrangement such that after the first edge portion has been torn off along the line of perforation, the two sheets from which the mailer is formed can be peeled apart from one another without significantly damaging the mailer.

5232147 - Multi-component mailer and personalizing method - Owned by Belknap Business Forms, Inc. (Westfield, NY)

A multi-component mailer and personalizing method therefor, achieved by sequentially passing a continuous web of plural, physically connected mailer configurations through a printing station, where each said mailer configuration includes a front sheet member having a window therein and an insert member behind said window, and applying personalized data to said front sheet and to said insert sheet of each said mailer configuration while each said mailer configuration is at said printer station during its passage therethrough. Each mailer configuration further includes left and right longitudinal marginal tear strips as part of its said front sheet, with a series of printer feed holes in each said marginal tear strip, and a back sheet member located behind said insert sheet and affixed to said front sheet, where the transverse width of said back sheet is not greater than and, preferably, is less than the transverse distance between said marginal tear strips. In a second embodiment, an additional patch sheet is permanently affixed to the outside of the back sheet for providing a return envelope.

5640831 - Forming an envelope having a die cut window and containing inserts - Owned by Moore Business Forms, Inc. (Grand Island, NY)

A plurality of interconnected envelope blanks are formed from an envelope web of paper. Die cut windows are also formed in each envelope blank of the interconnected web and transparent window patches are adhesively secured over the die cut window. A plurality of inserts from insert webs of paper are formed and may be variably imaged. The inserts are collected and disposed on the interconnected envelope blanks with address information registering through the window. The interconnected blanks and web form with inserts applied are severed to form discrete envelope blanks and later folded and glued to form complete mailers.
