Abstract
A golf driving and putting exerciser and training aid is provided comprising an assembly of telescoping cylinders pivotally secured at one end to a supporting surface and provided with a driving fixture at the other end. The rate of retraction and extension of all cylinders is controlled by means of air pistons on the end of the cylinders. The training aid can be used to an angled vertical position to practice driving swings and in a horizontal position to practice putting strokes. Various attachments are provided to achieve flexibility in mounting and applications.

5421579 - Training apparatus for a golf swing

An apparatus used by a golfer for developing a forward golf swing. The apparatus guides the club within a predetermined swing plane and controls the attitude of the club within the swing plane only through the initial portion of the forward swing into the "attack zone." The apparatus includes a swing guide and a club attachment mounted to the club shaft adjacent the grip. The swing guide includes an arcuate track mounted to a post and positioned behind the golfer. The track guides the club within a predetermined swing plane through an initial portion of said forward swing. The lower end of the track is positioned at the natural release point of the golfer's swing, which is approximately at the start of the golfer's "attack zone." The club attachment includes a carriage, a mounting collar, and a connecting rod. The carriage is movable along the length of the track. The club attachment maintains the club at a fixed predetermined attitude within said swing plane while the carriage is in engagement with the track.

7261653 - Golf swing training apparatus

The present invention provides a training apparatus and method for improving the stance of a golfer throughout the golfer's swing. The apparatus comprises a shaft pivotally connected to a base so that the shaft pivots about a pivot point along a plane to increase or decrease the angle formed by the base, the shaft, and the pivot point. A golfer stands on the base and straddles the shaft so that the leading foot is behind the shaft nearest the pivot point, and the non-leading leg is in front of the shaft thus preventing an over-rotation of a golfer's hips during the performance of a back swing and keeping the golfer's arms in front of the golfer's chest so that the golf club does not become trapped behind the golfer.

5538251 - Training apparatus for developing a golf swing

A golf swing training apparatus is disclosed which is portable and positionable both indoors and outdoors. The golf swing training apparatus provides longitudinally adjustable vertical support structure, rotation training structure interconnected between the vertical support structure and a golf club, and a rotatable club attachment collar which secures the shaft of the club to the rotation training structure in a manner which allows the club to be swung through a perfect swing plane. The adjustability of the vertical support structure permits modification of the device to suit the height and body structure of the individual user so that an optimal swing plane may be achieved and practiced consistently. The adjustable length of the rotation training structure trains the user to rotate the arms and hips in a manner to keep the club in the proper swing plane while permitting the user to move naturally and unencumbered.
