Abstract
A prefabricated panel for use in assembling swimming pools of the type employing a flexible liner for containing the water. The panel has a reinforcing frame on the back with pivotally mounted deck support members which can be moved out to support a deck on the swimming pool. A plurality of panels can be joined together in a closed configuration forming the sides of the swimming pool and with the bounded area forming the bottom. The pool liner is held along its top edge by a pool liner bead holder fastened along the edge of the assembled panels. A decorative tile holder is supported about the upper edge of the swimming pool by the pool liner bead holder. The lower edge of the decorative tile holder is held against the side of the pool by a second pool liner bead which is inserted into and held by a channel along the lower edge of the decorative tile holder. The second pool liner bead depends from a flap of material on the pool liner and prevents water from moving behind the decorative tile holder. A complete swimming pool is also disclosed.

6206226 - Lining system

A field applied lining system for the inside surface of fluid containment vessels is described. The lining system includes a lining joined to the inner walls of a fluid containment vessel, defining an interstitial space between the inner wall of the storage tank and the lining. The lining consisting of a plurality of panels of pre-manufactured Fiber Reinforced Plastic joined to each other. A support structure is placed in the interstitial space, the support structure defining avenues for fluid flow through the interstitial space. One or more conduits are provided between the interstitial space and one or more sampling ports placed at the perimeter of the one or more sampling ports placed at the perimeter of the storage tank, permitting access to the interstitial space and the avenues for fluid flow through the interstitial space.

6662383 - Pool liner perimeter assembly - Owned by North American Pool Company (St. Catharines,CA)

The invention relates to a pool liner assembly that comprises a main liner subassembly and a secondary liner subassembly. The main liner subassembly comprises a main liner sheet for lining the walls of a pool, and a main liner clip attached to the top edge of the main liner sheet for attaching the main liner subassembly to a coping of the pool. The secondary liner subassembly comprises a secondary liner sheet overlapping an upper portion of the main liner sheet and having a bottom edge that is attached to the main liner sheet, and a secondary liner clip attached to the top edge of the secondary liner sheet, for attaching the secondary liner subassembly to the coping of the pool. The secondary liner subassembly may be attached to the front or back of the main liner subassembly. After the portion of the assembly facing the sun has faded, it can be removed to reveal an fresh underlying portion of the assembly.

7546713 - Swimming pool coping support extender

For use with prefabricated pool wall panels that have a top flange extending outwardly from the pool cavity to attach a coping layer, an extender strip attachable to the top flange increases the effective width of coping support. The extender strips have a curvature conforming to the curvature of the wall panel. The extender strip includes a flat portion for supporting a coping layer and a flange portion adjacent the outside perimeter of the strip. The strip can be attached to the wall panel with the flange portion facing up or down, depending on the nature of the coping layer. The structure may also include horizontal support brackets and vertical support braces.

6862756 - Walk-on tray for concealing a pool cover operation system - Owned by Pool Cover Specialists National, Inc. (West Jordon, UT)

A walk-on tray apparatus for concealing a pool cover operation system, is disclosed. A plurality of brackets each having a load-bearing upper portion may be attached to a sidewall of an elongate recess formed at one end of a pool, such that the load-bearing upper portions of the brackets extend in a substantially horizontal orientation. A plurality of platform sections each include a mortar veneer, a tray with an attachment plate removably disposed beneath an under side of the tray, and a nut-tightening arrangement, such that the load-bearing upper portions may be securely sandwiched between the under side of the tray and the attachment plate. The platform sections may reside in a side-by-side, sequential series. The mortar veneer may be formed directly on the tray, and the facade may be modified and customized to match the appearance of the perimeter sections of a pool deck. The veneer may be composed of mortar, resin and negligible amounts of fiberglass particles, forming an elastic composition.

6618867 - Decorative swimming pool border and method

A removable swimming pool border for use with a swimming pool having a sidewall and a pool liner includes a flexible facestock layer made of polymeric material. The facestock layer has design indicia on one side thereof. A pressure sensitive adhesive layer is located on the second side of the facestock opposite the design indicia side for removably attaching the swimming pool border to the pool liner of the swimming pool. A removable liner layer is attached to the surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer for protecting the pressure sensitive adhesive layer prior to use. The swimming pool border is adhesively attached to the pool liner by the pressure sensitive adhesive layer when the swimming pool border is in use. The swimming pool border is removably attached to the pool liner along a top inner edge of the swimming pool such that the water level of the swimming pool lies along the height of the swimming pool border when the swimming pool border is in use.
