Abstract
The glazing agent contains at least one member selected from a group consisting of a petroleum solvent, silicone oil and wax and at least one member selected from a group consisting of a lower alcohol, oil-soluble ionic surfactant and silicone resin. The glazing agent is excellent in detergency of a stain, or lime deposit, particularly on a coating surface of the vehicle body, as well as in water repelency and its continuity.

5518533 - Automotive protectant for use with cleaning compositions - Owned by Armor All Products Corporation (Aliso Viejo, CA)

A protective composition for automotive painted surfaces is provided, which is used with a detergent. The protective composition comprises modified silicone, a cationic emulsifier, and a dispersant.

5645736 - Method for polishing a wafer - Owned by Symbios Logic Inc. (Fort Collins, CO)

A method is shown for polishing a workpiece such as a semiconductor wafer. A polishing composition is first formed which includes (1) a polishing media particle; and (2) a film forming binder for suspending the particle and forming a temporary film on an exposed surface of the workpiece, the temporary film being dissolvable in a subsequently applied polishing wash, whereby the polishing media particle is freed to polish the workpiece. The polishing composition is applied to the surface of the semiconductor wafer in a spin coating operation and thereafter cured in a hot plate bake or a furnace operation. In order to polish the workpiece, a polishing wash is applied to either or both of the surface of the workpiece or a polishing pad and thereafter causing the pad to be sufficiently proximate to the surface of the workpiece at a pressure and for a time sufficient to polish and planarize the workpiece.

5861055 - Polishing composition for CMP operations - Owned by LSI Logic Corporation (Milpitas, CA)

A polishing composition is shown which includes (1) a polishing media particle; (2) a film forming binder for suspending the particle and forming a temporary film on an exposed surface of the workpiece, the temporary film being dissolvable in a subsequently applied polishing wash, whereby the polishing media particle is freed to polish the workpiece; (3) a solvent for suspending the polishing media particle in the film forming binder to facilitate forming the temporary film; and (4) a wetting agent to improve the wettability of the composition on the exposed surface of the workpiece.

6506715 - Automotive wash and wax composition and method of use thereof - Owned by Turtle Wax, Inc. (Chicago, IL)

An automobile wash and wax composition suitable for simultaneously washing and waxing a soiled exterior surface of a vehicle without buffing. The automotive wash and wax composition being an aqueous emulsion containing an anionic surfactant, a silicone oil, an amino-functional silicone, a wax, and a cationic emulsifier. The wash and wax composition is applied to a pre-wetted exterior surface of a vehicle so as to substantially coat the surface of the vehicle that requires cleaning and polishing. After the coated surface has substantially dried, the surface is washed with a sufficient quantity of water to rinse away the soil particles and the residue of the anionic surfactant, leaving behind a durable, evenly distributed, high-gloss, water resistant protective film of silicones and wax on the vehicle surface, without any buffing of the surface.

5977051 - Alcohol based natural wax cleaning and dusting composition - Owned by Dominguez, Jr.; Joe A. (Austin, TX)

A cleaning and dusting composition, particularly useful as a treatment for dusting implements such as a cloth or feather duster, comprised of a high quality natural wax in an alcohol solution. In the preferred embodiment, a near-saturated solution of lanolin in denatured ethyl alcohol is employed to provide a rapidly drying, non-smear, low residue, and safe dusting treatment composition.
