A disposable toothbrush for travelers, guests of business establishments, and others who need an inexpensive throwaway toothbrush. The toothbrush includes a handle which is folded in the shape of a small angular hollow book. A neck is integrally attached to the handle and folded thereon. A head with bristles is integrally attached to the top of the neck. When the head with bristles and neck are folded inside the hollow handle a compact inexpensive toothbrush is provided.
A tooth cleaning kit for a vending machine is provided and consists of a small package to be dispensed from the vending machine. A toothbrush, a small tube of toothpaste, a napkin and a piece of dental floss are sealed in the small package so that a person can purchase, use and then dispose the tooth cleaning kit.
A single use dental maintenance device embodies rows of nylon felt like strips adhered to a nonporous elastic tube and said strips coated with toothpowder. The opened end of the elastic tube is adhered to the inside of a paperboard cylinder in which elastic tube is folded and sealed with polyethylene film. By the user pushing his or her index finger thru the designated opening unfolds the tube over the index finger and allows the user to clean and polish teeth in a manner similar to brushing.
A flexible, disposable toothbrush and hygiene kit incorporating the same. The toothbrush comprises an elastomeric sheath which can be slipped over the user's finger. A patch of bristles is located on the closed end of the sheath. Constituent material of the sheath is thin, flexible, and capable of receiving and maintaining indicia printed in ink. The constituent material of the sheath or the bristles or both is impregnated with a flavoring agent. The toothbrush may be incorporated into a kit providing dentifrice stored in a readily frangible capsule and dental floss.
A foldable toothbrush having a self-contained storage compartment contiguous with the body of the toothbrush. A pair of storage compartments are connected to one another, one of which is, in turn, connected to an arm assembly. The arm assembly has a pair of members connected to each other. The toothbrush's bristles are attached to the outermost member of the arm assembly. In its fully folded position, the arm assembly's members fold down on one another to form a folded arm section which is folded into one of the storage compartments. The other storage compartment folds down onto the first storage compartment to yield a small, flat, cylindrical case which houses the toothbrush which can easily be stored in a purse or pocket. The foldable toothbrush is designed to be inexpensive enough to be disposable but sturdy enough to withstand repeated use.
A kit for carrying and storage of a toothbrush, toothpaste and associated materials and tools for dental hygiene wherein the quantity of dentifrice included is selected to be exhausted simultaneously with the end of life of the enclosed toothbrush, thus urging the replacement of the toothbrush at the proper time. The enclosed toothpaste reservoir has a small quantity of differentiated paste at the bottom which when ultimately dispensed, indicates imminent exhaustion of supply. Marker flags of color or other sensible characteristics for toothpaste and other materials are proposed.
