A system (10) including a soft-sided golf bag (12) and a cart (14) with an attachment mechanism (16) for fastening the bag (12) and cart (14) together. Also shown is a stand (18), which also fastenable to the golf bag (12) with the attachment mechanism (16). Attachment fixture (22) is riveted to base (20) with an upwardly open recess (24) to receive lower end (26) of support tube member (28). Fixture (32) is riveted to collar (30) with a downwardly open recess (34) facing toward the recess (24) in the attachment fixture (22). The recess (34) receives upper end (36) of support tube member (28) of the cart (14). Alternatively, the recesses (24) and (34) receive lower end (38) and upper end (40) of a corresponding support tube member (42) on the stand (18). The support tube members (28) and (42) are spring loaded. In operation, the golf bag (12) and the cart (14) or stand (18) are fastened together by inserting lower end (26) or (38) of the support member (28) or (42) of the cart (14) or stand (18) into the recess (24). By pressing down on the upper tube (44), the upper tube (44) and the lower tube (46) are compressed together sufficiently so that the upper end (36) or (40) of the support member (28) or (42) of the cart (14) or stand (18) can be positioned below the recess (34). The spring (56) is then allowed to move the end (36) or (40) into the recess (34), so that the cart (14) or stand (18) is fastened securely to the golf bag (12). To separate the cart (14) or stand (18), the sequence of steps is reversed.
CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
This application is a continuation-in-part of my pending application Ser. No. 07/471,082, filed Jan. 26, 1990 and entitled "Combination Golf Bag and Cart."
A frame assembly for a golf cart, in which the side beams are coupled between two brackets on the main frame member of the frame assembly and two wheel holders, each side beam including a respective rigid rectangular tube having two extension portions at two opposite ends respectively inserted into a U-shaped frame of one brackets and a U-shaped frame of one wheel holder and pivoted thereto by a respective pivot bolt, and a rigid connecting rod inserted through the rigid rectangular tube, the rigid connecting rod having two opposite ends extended out of the rigid rectangular tube outside the extension portions and respectively inserted into a U-shaped frame of one brackets and a U-shaped frame of one wheel holder and pivoted thereto by a respective pivot bolt.
A golf club cart collapsing device includes an upper support rod and a lower support rod pivotally connected to each other by means of a male and a female connector, two link members two upper connect rods, an intermediate connect rod, two lower connect rods, a H-shaped frame, two wheel hangers, and two wheels with a shaft combined together by means of pivotal connection. The golf club cart may be collapsed from a spread condition to a collapsed condition, forming a space between the two wheel hangers and the wheel shafts for an electric driving mechanism to be installed. When it is spread from the collapsed condition to the spread condition, it is automatically stabilized at the same time by engagement of the male and the female connector.
A folding collapsible frame assembly for a golf cart in which a locating block is pivotably mounted in an opening between two parallel walls of upper bag cradle being fixedly fastened to the front end of a main shaft, a spring is mounted in the opening in the upper bag cradle to support the locating block, a handle bracket is pivoted to the upper bag cradle to hold a handle bar and turned about an axis between a first position where the handle bracket is received in a receiving chamber in the upper bag cradle to hold the handle bar in longitudinal alignment with the main shaft and a locating flange of the handle bracket is forced into engagement with a locating groove on the locating block, and a second position where the locating flange of the handle bracket is disengaged from the locating groove of the locating block and the handle bracket is moved out of the receiving chamber and retained in parallel to the main shaft.
A collapsible golf cart is provided which includes a support rod, a hollow operating rod, a score board and two wheels movably combined with connecting rods to the operating rod. The hollow operating rod has a bottom case formed in a lower section which is either secured to or released from an upper end section of the support rod for operatively opening or collapsing the golf cart by operation of a push button unit which pulls on a rope extending through an inner passage of the hollow operating rod for disengaging a pair of rod projections from a pair of holes formed through a positioning member of the support rod.
A combined golf bag and collapsible golf cart (10) comprising a golf bag assembly (12) for holding various golf clubs and supplies. A golf cart assembly (14) is permanently built into the golf bag assembly (12). A structure (16) is for moving the golf cart assembly (14) from a retracted position in which the golf cart assembly (14) nests against the golf bag assembly (12) to an extended position away from the golf bag assembly (12), so that the golf bag assembly (12) can be transported by the golf cart assembly (14) along the ground.
