There is provided a curable substantially uniform mixture of an epoxy silicone, polyarylonium salts and a compatibilizer in the form a mixture of a long chain alkyl substituted phenol and an alkane diol. The curable mixture is convertable to a non-toxic, tack free adherent release coating for pressure sensitive adhesives.
1. A solid composition comprising (a) a solid oligomeric, cationically polymerisable polyglycidyl ether or polyglycidyl ester, a mixture of a solid oligomeric, cationically polymerisable polyglycidyl ether or polyglycidyl ester and a liquid or crystalline monomeric mono-, di- or polyepoxy resin, or a mixture of a solid oligomeric, cationically polymerisable polyglycidyl ether or polyglycidyl ester and a cyclic acetal, said oligomeric polyglycidyl ether or polyglycidyl ester and the mixtures containing the oligomeric polyglycidyl ether or polyglycidyl ester having a glass transition temperature (T.sub.G) higher than 35.degree. C., (b) a multifunctional nucleophilic chain transfer agent, (c) 0.05 to 3% by weight, based on component (a), of a photoinitiator for the cationic polymerisation and, as optional components, (d) customary additives for powder coating compositions, which compositions are free from compounds containing a primary, secondary or tertiary nitrogen atom or contain such compounds only in an amount which at most is 50% of the amount of component (c), based on the molar concentration.
This invention relates to a radiation curable compositions. More particularly this invention relates to radiation curable compositions comprising a vinyl ether compound which is free of silicon atoms, a cationic photoinitiator, a free radical photoinitiator, and dodecylphenol. The radiation curable compositions of this invention are useful for coating a thin layer film that has potential for many applications in the coating industry.

A pressure sensitive adhesive tape is provided having a silicone-free release layer, said tape comprising (1) at least one backing layer; (2) at least one pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and (3) at least one silicone-free release layer, said release layer comprising a crosslinked poly(alkylene oxide), said poly(alkylene oxide) being defined by the formula X.sub.1 --(O--R).sub.n --OX.sub.2 where X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are terminal groups at least one of which permits crosslinking of said poly(alkylene oxide), n ranges from 1 to 200,000, R is a straight or branched alkylene group having the formula (CR.sub.1 R.sub.2).sub.m where m is an integer from 1 to 10 and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may independently be hydrogen and C.sub.1-3 alkyl.
