A compact portable power supply including an internal combustion engine that drives a generator and which engine is fueled by a pressurized source of gaseous fuel. The outer housing and control structure is configured in such a way that the source of gaseous fuel will always be oriented so that liquid fuel will not be delivered to the engine when the power supply is in use.
A new portable battery charger for jump-starting an engine of a disabled vehicle. The inventive device includes a main housing having a motor and a generator disposed therein. The main housing includes gasoline and oil intake portions in communication with the motor. A pair of cables extend outwardly from one of the side walls of the main housing. The pair of cables are in communication with the generator. The pair of cables each have a spring-loaded clip disposed on free ends thereof for operative coupling with positive and negative terminals of a battery.
A portable self-contained power pack is described including a miniature internal combustion motor/alternator combination with an attached fuel supply. The electrical output from the motor/alternator is rectified and controlled to provide a DC output. The DC output is used to charge batteries and/or capacitors. The power pack is designed to be of a weight and size so that it may be carried while in use on the person of the user. The DC output and the batteries and/or capacitors are connected and power personal items. These personal items include, but are not limited to, cell phones, portable radios, laptops, stand alone computers, music and video players and recorders, personal electronic organizers, games and cordless power tools.
A gas powered internal combustion engine in which the gas is provided from pressurized liquid gas in an LPG container and in which the LPG container is rigidly mounted adjacent to the internal combustion engine at a preselected angle to be in conductive heat transfer relationship to the internal combustion engine and in vibration receiving relationship to the internal combustion engine whereby the liquified gas in the LPG container is heated and the effective surface area thereof is increased.
