A sunbathing mat having a removably attachable inflatable headrest for use on a beach or while visiting a pool. The mat further includes an elongated washable, moisture-absorbent fabric piece. A top portion of the fabric piece is foldable over an intermediate portion of the fabric piece and is releasably attachable in this position to form a flap for enclosing the headrest. A plurality of supple, noncorrosive, nonabrasive straps mate and secure the headrest in the enclosed posture. An alternative mat includes loops and mating stakes. The loops are fixed to the four corners of the sun bathing mat and the mating stakes are insertable into and through each one of the four loops and into a supporting surface to anchor each one of the four corners of the mat to the supporting surface. The mat may also be provided with a plurality of binding cords which enable the user to bind the mat in a small compass. The mat contains no pockets to trap sand or other foreign substances. It does not incorporate abrasive materials and thus, does not promote the risk of snagging the users garment.
A Beach Towel With Pillow comprising a beach towel of highly absorbent fabric with an inflatable pillow attached to the towel by means of a hook and loop type fastener, which allows for ease of attaching and detaching. The inflatable pillow may be manufactured of vinyl with welded seams which prevent air leakage after inflation and a velvet-like flocking material may be applied to give the vinyl a cloth-like feel. One edge of the pillow is provided with a series of storage compartments for small items to be carried, the small storage compartments being fastened by means of a hook and loop type fastener. The Beach Towel With Pillow may be rolled up and bound by the binding cords attached to one lateral edge of the beach towel.
A beach pillow including a foam--e.g. a polyester--within a case enclosure covered by a terrycloth material so as to be machine-washable and dryable. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a bottom-side of the case is provided with a releasable hook-and-loop type adhesive backing to adhere with a comparable adhesive material at a facing side of a towel, to allow for the holding of the pillow to the towel in a substantially vertical position when the towel is draped over a chair. A fastener at a corner extremity of the case permits the pillow to be easily carried about, and its temporary securement to a fixed object to be held thereby under varying wind conditions.
An ergonomic blanket or towel for covering any surface that a person would lay, rest, and/or sit on includes a main body portion and a support portion. At least a portion of the support portion is removably attached to the main body portion, and at least a portion is permanently attached to the main body portion. The support and main body portions are adapted to retain support matter, such as sand or a pillow, therebetween to provide comfortable support to the user, as well as serving to anchor the device. The ergonomic blanket may also include a storage portion, at least a portion of which is removably attached to the main body portion, and at least a portion of which is permanently attached to the main body portion. The storage portion is adapted to retain personal items, such as a wallet, key, comb, glasses, sunscreen lotion, book, and the like. The storage portion may be totally removable from the main body portion.
An inflatable puzzle storage device and method is provided. To this end, a puzzle is completely or partially assembled on a puzzle assembly mat. To store or transport the puzzle, the puzzle assembly mat and puzzle pieces thereon are wrapped around an inflated tube and secured, such that the puzzle pieces remain in place relative to each other.
A sitting posture correction device for placement between a backrest and the back of a user. The device comprises an inflatable bladder which is generally spherical in shape when fully inflated and a flexible, substantially rectangular cover for the bladder forming a pocket and adapted to contain the bladder, when the latter is partially inflated, in the pocket. During use of the device, the bladder is located within the cover, is partially inflated, and is free to shift and change its shape within the cover.
